they could have belayed down from the bridge a lot faster and easier nothing brave about it just using up taxpayers resources the only lowering needed was the litter to rescue the injured
It wasn't a dirt bike involved in the accident - it was a naked style sport bike (yellow) and was pretty beat up. I was coming down the 18 when I saw the chopper and slowed way down. Many cars and bikers were pulled over in the area, some of which had dirt bikes. The issue, I believe was that it had just started raining and as any biker knows that's when the roads are the slickest - because the oil comes to the surface of the road and things get slippery very quickly. The biker in question, probably just hit a bad patch of road in the corner and that's all it takes. It was a bad place to hit too - right at the bridge - so it was quite a fall. I'm glad he was alive when they found him. I've been looking for news about this very accident since I saw the situation. Prayers go out to this biker and his family for continued healing and a quick recovery!
@@margief1798 - you are welcome. As for the speed - who knows I didn't see that, but I did see the change in road conditions and weather - and THAT for sure contributed to the accident. Have a nice day.
Thank God for all the police and first responders. I hope they all get home safely. I hope that it’s ok if I’m still fascinated with the sound of those Hueys Even in these types of situations.
That was a perfectly executed rescue kudos to those guys who do this for a living because they are the bravest people I hope the poor guy survives and he’s not too badly injured my prayers go out to him🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊 7:13
Wow! This Rescue wasn't cheap! Two helos and maybe a 2nd alarm? A couple hundred grand $ at least! Great work! These gutsy rescuers were awesome! At least there was concerted effort to actually rescue this guy and not some bean counter standing on the sidelines shouting this was too expensive! Some places in some countries don't value human life like we do! Clearly it wasn't this guy's time to go! Hope for full recovery and he'll be more carefull! God Bless America!
God bless first responders. I’m sure they were thrilled to save a life. That UH-1 like the old Army helicopter quite a workhorse and makes that distinctive chopping sound due to its 2 blade design. I’m a rider too - my worst nightmare.
The bikes are not dirt bikes. They are small displacement 125cc street bikes (Honda Grom). I often see them riding in groups on hwy18. I know exactly where he crashed and it’s quite a fall.
Those rescuers who drop out of the helicopter are seriously brave, and the pilot is skilled. Hope the biker survived.

Shame on you!
@@WASLKHL Keyboard warrior at work! I wonder what they do for work and if it as difficult as what the chopper crews do
@@ReleaseTheQuackers What’s your channel name” Release the Quackers”?? Need I say more!!!
@@lutomson3496 how do you even have an opinion if you were not there? Why would your word be better than actual first responders? Lol
These guys know what they are doing, awesome rescue🚑
So many wires, trees and rocks! And yet a safe recovery for all. Thank God for that!

I'm sure he was going faster than the posted speed limit!!

Outstanding footage! Prayers 🙏 for a full recovery for the biker.
Pretty impressive helo pilot work. Nice orchestrated rescue.
Nice job, rescuers and reporters!

He was busy singing I believe I can fly.!!!😂
They really need to crack down on the dirt bike riders on the highway. This was bound to happen.
Heroes
So badass. Watch your speed while riding, or don't, so we can see cool shit like this
4:11 nice crown vic !
Wow. Those rockets ride those windy mountain roads so fast and low to the ground. Wonder if speed was a factor.
Why are those guardrails so low?
The venerable UH-1, still doing yeoman work.

Wet roads and a dirt bike is not a good combo. It's probably not even a street legal bike
Any updates on his condition?
That’s going to big bear I look at that cliff a lot like hell no that’s a really steep cliff he fell off

Did he really fly? Next time he needs to flap a little harder.

This caliber of human beings don’t do jobs like this for the money. Which is what makes them so special and sometimes highly undervalued. 🫡
