We get the seals taking the fish when we're pleasure fishing. I captured one seal attack on video and put that up on my channel. Hard going for you when it's your living. Thanks for sharing.
I felt for you last time out, Beany, all that work for nothing, and I thought you would have had a netful seeing six plus herring in the net. Damn Seals.
James I think you need to find a a market for seal meat about the only way you are going to make any money !!! I wonder how many tonne of fish they consume a day bloody frightening I would guess
You'd probably catch more on rod and line how things are now with all those bloody seals. It don't matter where you go on the coast theres a seal a few yards off the beach.
I don't like the idea of killing anything, even a pest, to the extent of extinction but those bloody seals need controlling, as someone else commented if it brought a lot of money to government coffers they'd soon do something about, it's not as if they're rare. Eskimo's eat a lot of them, I'm prepared to give seal meat ago if you get any Beany, apparently you're not allowed to pick up bones on the shore from dead seals, take care mate, we all feel for you and your dad trying to make a few pounds, Norfolk Ray
If the herring brought in millions of pounds of revenue for the treasury something would be done about the seals, but they prob make more more on seal trips and tourism i fear u are fighting a losing battle, bit nature will address itself when there to many just like a few yrs ago.
The government isnt interested in the fishing industry anymore. There is more people who would rather see fishermen gone than seals. A scientist told us recently that the seal numbers here have spiked so much, its only a matter of time before food runs out or they get a disease
@beanysfishing2555 it's getting like that on the beaches , not everyone there are some nice people who genuinely interested, but there is a core that c u as an inconvenience to there dog walk who they let run riot

No probs mate. They are now in plague proportions in some parts of the country
Allways good to watch, I was fishing Caister last wednesday evening and I think it was you who I saw coming in...... keep up the good work.
cheers mate.

Cheers. We are used to it here now, 10k of them within a few miles is a nightmare.
Fantastic video thanks Beany
glad you liked it mate
Always stay positive, mate. In a way to have to or we'd give up.😂
Hahaha yep, got it on one!
Thanks for the video again very appreciated
Glad you liked it mate
Great footage u got ur tae is the main thing
Yep, cant beat the first few fried herring of the year!
What engine u using? That looks a great engine. What size of boat is it on?
Yamaha 2 stroke, can’t beat them! It’s a 21ft tactile
@ thanks for that I think am going to take my 25hp 4 stoke (problem with it) off and go to a 2 stroke
@@Fish_On5252 well 4 strokes use half as much fuel, and are far quieter. There is just so little to go wrong with a 2 stroke
@ not when I can’t get above 1440rpm on WOT 🫣😡 that’s 5knots flat out
James I think you need to find a a market for seal meat about the only way you are going to make any money !!! I wonder how many tonne of fish they consume a day bloody frightening I would guess
Its roughly between 60-65 tonne of fish a day within a 10 mile radius
@@beanysfishing2555 no wonder there aren't many fish about these days, good old fluffy bunny bigrade😥😥

Its especially bad at the minute as they are pupping and breeding, so it pulls thousands to the area
bloody seals lol
They are frustrating!

Country is backwards. Same with farming, they are letting it all go so we couldn’t support ourselves if we wanted too

yeah the out of control, off the lead type, who when fluffy starts being a dick, its everyone elses fault
@@beanysfishing2555 fluffy gets short sharp kick up the arse lol
@@PaulMills-ue9eg hahaha poor fluffy
Do you ever fish with a rod and line off the boat?
I have done in the past, but not very often
@@beanysfishing2555 I reckon that could make a good vid. Maybe get a few different species. Then again, maybe not with the state of our fishing lol.
@@anglerfish1001 haha we used to get plenty of cod, but it seems an endless supply of whiting in the winter now
@@beanysfishing2555 Yeah, cod are an endangered species now I reckon. What about a push-net vid?
