@@nevillej9408 there’s load of cormorants at sea at the minute, Feeding like hell on shoals of small herring. With the big tides, the end must be getting wet again. Brings back memories of fishing on the jetty

Ive personally never had issues, but the area can be a little rough

I’ve only fished it twice in the last month, and not for 20 years. There are a few undesirables about the town now

Happy new year. I just got them off a paper tide book I was given, scanned and touched up. Im gagging to get out in the boat, or even beach fishing. Ive been stuck in bed ill too long!

@beanysfishing2555 no I haven't heard of that I've done it now anyway it all seems a bit o t t if you're an experienced fisherman you know your circumstances change every second and it's just acting appropriately at the time no piece of paper is going to help you out with that. Yes, the last codling I had on the beach was on a prawn. Used to get a few on them during the last codling run 14 year ago

@beanysfishing2555 it's such a versatile bait and keeps on hook well, the price of lug now prawns a cheap bait , going to try soaking them in flavours and wrapping them in other baits like shellfish and strips of fish

Yes, it is a good bait. I need to make some prawn pots up and try and use live prawns for bass in the summer
