    Thank you for this! I will be sharing it with my son's teachers and Admin. It has been difficult for some of them to "see" that he has an invisible disease.

    Very well done. May be the crisis my brother is in and now i can be better prepared. The issue has long been that allopathic medicine is only taught to know signs of end stage crisis of adrenal insufficiency.

    This is really good Jill. I've shared with many. Thank you for doing this as it's a reminder for us to know where the emergency kit is.

    Loved this! I was recently diagnosed and love hearing from someone that had personal experience not just a doctors view.

    Hi Jill, just found you through a referral in a FB group. This my first video. BLA Oct’23, after sudden onset of Cushing’s and the highest levels of cortisol multiple doctors had ever seen. You mentioned a complimentary team i.e. Reike, naturopath, and vitamin infusions. I need this. Sick all the time. Constant infections/antibiotics/updosing/downdosing afterward. Weight gain. Extreme BP variances (high/low). I need to regain control. How do they know what to vits to infuse? I’m in US. Info is really hard to find here strangely. But I’m doing this no matter the cost. Tysm! Lots to watch for me. So glad I found you!

      Hey there friend...I was dong IV electrolyte treatments prescribed by my doctor. I would always go through your medical team as I am worried about throwing off my Na/K balance. Take care friend Jill ❤

    I really liked the step-by-step guide having pictures!
    Hearing more about the symptoms was affirming, too.
    As for how to improve the video? I noticed you were manually drawing a syringe up during the video, but the video of you doing it was too tiny to reference or see what you were doing, since the slides were up. In future, it would be helpful if you stopped the slides, momentarily, and went back to your camera being full screen for this.
    I hope that helps to know.

    Is there a national resource one can turn to to get an injection kit? Mine won't even see me now (maybe once a year) and has dismissed the injection. I'm one the waitlist for a new doc, but that takes a few years.
    Also curious if it's common for blood O2 to drop suddenly? My pulse oximeter tells me this happens sometimes, but maybe the tech is just garbage. 🤔

      hey there..where do you live? I would see what support groups are in your area and reach out to them for assistance. Try FaceBook groups as well to see if people in your area can lead you in the right direction. Sorry I could not help more then that.

    I have High Blood Pressure during an Adrenal Crisis. I try to treat myself with an injection, when I go to the ER, I am usually mistreated and not listened to. I am 62, so it is not good to have 20 year olds tell you that you are not sick. etc ... I just got to where I do the best I can without hospital care.

    • @chronicallyfit_withjill
      @chronicallyfit_withjill  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes with the high blood pressure here...I am so sorry you experience the mistreatment...things really need to change for us...so common due to lack of awareness...be safe friend

      I go high, then plummet. The major one I had, I had no detectable blood pressure when I got to hospital.

    I am recently diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency and live in the US, I have not heard anything from my doctors about an emergency injection, Is the emergency injection available and commonly used in the USA?

      Yea it is. Please ask for a kit. So important. Lots of info on Addisons self help group UK. They are amazing advocates for us.

    How do you share about Addison's at work? It's hard to know if I should downplay it or let them know how it affects my life.

  • @pixiedust6149
    @pixiedust6149 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You only covered symptoms for Type 1 Addison’s not Secondary Addison’s.

      Hey there...yes simply because this is what I have and understand the best. so this is what I refer too. However, it is my understanding symptoms would be the same since low cortisol for all of us with adrenal insufficiency is the result...take care
