Even after being paralyzed he persevered in film and did a version of James Stewarts "Rear Window" about a paralyzed man witnessing a crime from his window in his upper storey apartment building, he filmed this about 4 yrs after his accident...a trooper to the end. Will always be mine and most of my generations real Superman

I knew I could never ever be positive like him!! I recall watching and listening to him in awe of his courage. He was beautiful. Physically and mentally and emotionally.

I had a bad case of the flu spoke my GP and told I think I have contracted kryptonite flu symptoms… knowing my childhood hero was Superman ..He laughed and said I will tell you something that will intrigue me. His patient was disabled wrote a letter to Christopher Reeve and said he is giving people like him hope regarding the stem cell research campaign and Chris being the crusade champion of hope. Chris Reeve graciously wrote back to the gentleman in Scotland and thank him for his kind words and support for the encouragement to his ongoing efforts to find a breakthrough treatment ✨💫❤️
It was a sad end to a great man's life. None of us know what's round the corner and we are a fragile species. I also loved his superman and some other roles he played. Rear window was his last film I believe, a remake of a Jimmy Stewart movie. We were robbed of some future entertainment by his untimely death.
