I theorize that Luxu makes deals with people he possessed. Basically, if he didn't possess them , those people wouldn't survive the thing they were going into. If Baldr's Darkness had attacked Bragi without Luxu in control, he would have passed. And Luxu gets Brain out of Daybreak Town. And I don't think Braig without Luxu could deal with Xehanort. And because when people fuse together in Kingdom Hearts, their original bodies don't age, Luxu is basically giving both his original body and his Vessel's body more Time.
Luxu is such an interesting character to me because I’m not even totally sure if he’s aligned with the MoM. Whenever the MoM explained things to him, Luxu was almost always horrified. I wonder if Luxu already has his own plans and if he’s gonna pull the rug out from the MoM to be the true final antagonist.
