Tbh days is my second favorite game of all off KH, after KH2. It not only has a great story on its own, it's nice to have org 13 chars playable and the end makes me cry everytime... The multiplayer was also pretty good but even back in the day kinda dead. I think the game in general was kinda ahead of it's time and it makes me sad that we don't have a re:days till today, nor got a Final mix of it(iirc). The title is kinda confusing too, especially if you don't know the games story. I always just called it KH days. The 358: the year has 365 days, -7 from KH2 prologe = 358. That's how long you follow the story. And /2 is there because you follow it in the perspective of 2 different character, Roxas and Xion. The loss a Xion also reminds me of how i almost lost my best friend... My 2 favorites quotes of this game are 1. Roxas to Xion, while she was dematerialising: "Xion... Who else will i have ice cream with?" 2. Riku to Roxas after their fight: "Why?! Why do you have the keyblade?"

Solid video! A ton of good points made about how Days is, I experienced it on the OG DS so seeing how the cutscene movie leaves some stuff out is a pain. It needs a remaster so bad from Square so more people can appreciate the story

Riku story is about self hate, trauma, guilty, negative emotions and inner demon. What does that do with anything related to riku being gay it make no sense to me. I am bisexual myself and I never thought riku was once ever gay, I never knew this story about riku in chain of memories because I refuse to play it but I understand his character arc better than him just being gay. Riku isn’t gay and he will never be gay. Also his darkness is about him being gay is the dumbness thing I ever heard. I don’t look into every character I see be like that character is gay because that is judging someone and expecting someone to be like that to turn out they are not like that to only being disappointed. Literally at the end of the series and watch Sora end with Kira and watch riku ends up with Xion who can relate and understand riku the most. I’m disappointed in people sometimes and I really am, stupid joke about riku darkness is about him being gay shows to me in my personal opinion show y’all don’t care about riku true story and character and need someone to relate on a level that doesn’t exist within the series. I will never understand the need of representation in media and I understand riku of self hating, I honestly somewhat hate myself and indifference towards myself, I might not get over it. Let’s riku be the standard of overcoming one own personal issues, trauma, and inner demons because that what he is.

I like the idea sora and riku will reverse eventually. What I mean is Riku was someone who fell to darkness, accepted his past and feeling and returned that darkness to light. Sora is someone who rejects his own sadness, someone who is very against darkness if he views it working for the wrong people. And in kh4 I believe Sora maybe with a little help from Vanitas will accept his won darkness that's inside him. A darkness we've seen change and evolve into anti form and rage form. A darkness that's getting stronger the more he pushes it down with his light.

First time of me hearing Darkness = Gayness lmao and I've been following the Story for 20 years. Silly kids 🤣

Ive literally never made the connection to gayness with Riku. Legit, he was in love with Kairi in KH1 bro. And dont call me homophobic, im pansexual. I just dont think this level of reaching makes sense. But aside from that, i liked the video

YES I love that you made a video on this. Like you said, not a lot of people know this about Riku and I think that's why they're so confused why Riku's going to Quadratum alone. It's because Sora needs to learn the lessons Riku's learned. I think it's incredibly important people know about Riku's development moving into KH4 since his story will probably mirror Sora's and so they can reconcile their grief and trauma from KH1

Riku is parallel to Terra. Both want power to protect friends, use the darkness, use by Xehanort and Maleficent. The differents Riku had positive support in Sora, Kairi, Mickey and Namine. Terra was alone without his journey, his master thought darkness was bad and did try help, he didn't talk about it his firends.

Bro, remember when Re:coded recreated Castle Oblivion? That was even crazier than when Melody of Memories remembered Castle Oblivion.

Their are some moments in media where i think being a "gay" couple would be better than the straight alternate. Naruto x Sauske Poe x Fin But ultimately they end up being best buddies. Now i dont have a big stock in SoraxRiku, i didnt get to really engage with the games till i was older (though i kept up via comics and videos) If i hazard a guess Riku and Sora were supposed to just be rivals. I think it's pretty funny that rival charecters can have more intimate relationships than romantic ones. Now all that being said...do i think Riku or Sora will be a couple in the end? Maybe~ But i think it would be more so if the fans demand it and not so much because Nimora and Company planed this all yhe way back in the early 2000s... But i think nowdays...perhaps they might skew toward this direction~

KH Com is one my favorite games in the series and I love it over the PS2 remake

The truth about kh1 is that the ps2 version was better in every way. They intentionally downgraded it in the 1.5 remix by making sora in kh1 uglier (compare his face with the ps2 version and you’ll see what I mean) making everything that moves look like a stiff doll among other things. Turns out having a series that progressively gets worse/more confusing as you go along is bad for the series as a whole so they made sure to put kh2 in a better light. Lucas did the same thing to a new hope in the star wars special editions

What you said about Sora learning "my friends are my power" but not the ending of "and I am theirs" absolutely gutted me. 😭 Anyways, amazing video as always! Every single one gets me feeling Emotions™️ about it all

About Kingdom Hearts 1 and learning about the Light in the Deepest Darkness, that Light, the one Sora calls Kingdom Hearts, is Riku's Light.

It is implied Kairi arrived alone as the "Meteor", that her grandma didn't come with her to Destiny Islands.

I still stand that there is something going with the excessive use of orphans and/or runaways in this game. Even some of the ff characters are that, like leon and yuffie. And the worlds chosen has characters who are either an orphan or a runaway of sorts. And it bothers me that it may not have a particular reason 😅😅. (this is lyan btw)

Honestly, thank you, for explaining that. The franchise is so confusing at times that sometimes it's very easy to get lost. Sora was the embodiment of a phrase Spock once said. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one." Maybe in a way, Sora decided that he didn't want to keep existing or going if that meant all his friends would be gone, and going back to the same choice he made in Kingdom Hearts 1, if he can save someone else, even by giving his own life to do it, he would.

I have a theory about the Master of Master's that I haven't seen anyone talk about. What if he's legitimately the first keyblade wielder. And, in a way similar to Sora, he was bestowed a keyblade, not through a ceremony. He was simply chosen by Kingdom Hearts itself. As we've seen the Master of Master's is goofy and fun. He is able to bring people to him by being charismatic, his Knowledge is just an extension of his long life. I think the biggest take away of his character is how close he resembles Sora. Sora being the only other keyblade wielder chosen by a keyblade as well. I think that's the secret to the Master of Master's

I think you might improve the performance of your videos with a different style of title. The 'truth about x' isn't specific enough to draw people in, and if you're just sharing your opinion/personal analysis of the text, using the word 'truth' implies an objectivity that isn't going to be there by design.

Donald Duck is a jerk in the cartoons, he was never nice. Why is he the healer?! So it makes sense thar he does whatever he wants! But that is why I love him and Goofy. Goofy is silly but he is the smartest mire caring and level headed person ever. He is the stable parent while Donald is the CHAOS parent.

Sora is confused about love. But can you nlame him? He got his memories messed with and went into a coma for a year in Com. He got put to sleep and hidden away by all the hearts he had in storage after the bad guys attacked him and took his power. He has had so many people's hearts in his heart, and has felt their pain. No wonder he is confused. And now his time lines and memories got all messed up from the power of waking. Good thing Riku is very patient.

You are my favorite Kingdom Hearts TH-camr. I think it's really great how you've been dissecting the series from various narrative angles and getting to the core of why I (and of course so many others) care so deeply about KH. I hope you get way more recognition for your work!!
