Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed is Magical

- RAZER DeathAdder V3 Hyperspeed is a big surprise for me. Being quite a bit cheaper than the DAV3 Pro and having no actual downsides, if you enjoy the smaller size. The naming convention needs to change though, it's confusing.

Razer needs to get their act together on naming things and making it mean something. 3 different viper versions, with 2 different shapes, 3 different DA versions, 2 shapes. Both have a hyperspeed version that have different features associated with them. They need to make it so these names they give to things mean something... or they should use different names. Or at least thats my opinion on it...
I agree, the naming scheme of their products is confusing lol - but nonetheless a smaller DeathAdder V3 is super interesting indeed.
The naming conventions are horrible indeed. Very good point.
@@hausgaming What I want is a new Orochi V3
This is similar shape to the Attack shark R1. which is 5 less times the price.
this is exactly what im looking for Razer Deathadder V3 Pro small lets goooo
Looks really promising, But the naming scheme needs to change
💯
0:04 I thought i was tripping when the intro got into the two mice side by side and think the Hyperspeed is surprisingly small. I was right when he finally got to talking about the shape and size.
the huge thing for me is that even though the shape is smaller, it’s a hyperspeed but it’s rechargeable and not using a battery!
I have a feeling that Razer pulled a stunt regarding the sensor that they're not telling us. They call it Focus X 26K, based on that you could assume it's a renamed Focus+ from 2019. However i've did some digging, and the Focus X has 26K DPI but 500 IPS compared to 650 IPS from Focus+/3395. Also they don't mention motion sync for Focus X, while it's mentioned for both Focus+ and Focus Pro. I'm worried that "Focus X" is based on 3335/3369 family of sensors instead of 3395. If that's a case then it's a skip for me unless they really fixed the LOD and CPI deviation issues.
I can't quite understand what is the point of this mouse. Hyperspeed was supposed to be their budget offering with downgraded everything and external battery and this is like flagship product with altered shape and slightly "worse" sensor?
@@Divinity_vA Probably targeted towards the asian market, which explains why the shape is smaller. They did a similar thing with the old Viper Mini, it was designed for the asian market. They didn't expect it to get popular in the west.
Razer pays a premium for their flagship sensors due to them having a 2 year exclusivity deal with Pixart to make sure they get the best sensors before the rest of the industry does. The older older sensor tech is cheap by comparison, and we happen to be at a point where sensor tech is so perfect that there is basically no noticeable difference between this Focus X sensor and the Focus Pro sensor.
good catch, it would be weird if they did that, especially when there is more than enough 3395 being made
@@taigaluv it is thr 3395 ive heard
its 3395.
I recently purchased a Lamzu Thorn after watching your review and it's perfect for me. The shape fits my 18.5x10 hand perfectly with my relaxed claw grip. Such a huge upgrade over the G703. Thanks!
Great to hear you like it!
Yo I was literally thinking about getting a dav3 all day yesterday and im so glad I didnt cave in when this came up. SICK!
Love the format of the review. No script, no music, no fluff. Just a good, honest review. Razer is always confusing with their naming structure. As time goes on, they start breaking away from naming patterns and similarities within tiers. Like the Viper Ultimate, then it was the Viper V2 Pro. But before that, the Deathadder went straight to the Deathadder V2 Pro without having an “Ultimate” yet both were sold at the same time. The Hyperspeed moniker did refer to the mouse being a budget option with bluetooth/batteries/budget sensor, but now they have 2.4 only, and top tier sensors, yet with a regular battery like the Viper V3 Hyperspeed. Now this one has a rechargeable battery, and is still called the Hyperspeed. I don’t get it.
My favorite shape right now is the EC3 one. I think this will be my new main
Could u please tell if it feels narrower when doing "semi-aggressive" (specifically when ring finger placed at the narrowest front point on the right side of the mouse, where it curves in; thumb, ring finger and pinky are on the pad) grip than gpx? And I assume it's less palm filling than gpx too
I love your videos Haus. I hope everything is going great for you!
I really like the Orochiv2's scroll. Is this DAv3xh similar? ty very much
So would you say its an EC2 clone ? Is it similar to the Lamzu Thorn (Because I have it and its too wide for me and I didnt have a good control with it especially in pistol rounds in CS) ? Im in love with the Superlight, EC2, EC3 my hands are 18/9cm
Can you use 4k polling with the dongle included or is 1k polling max? Or do you need to buy the 8k dongle to play above 1k polling?
Longer finger ledge on the right and rounding the corners under clicks and this mouse would be “mostly” perfect. Unfortunately the harsh edge there and my fingers going forward past that ledge in palm grip sorta ruins the DA V3 for me. I’d say I prefer the EC2-CW overall but I do appreciate the DA V3 being slightly larger.
Wonder how this will stack up against the Lamzu Thorn. Both are quite similar in size and shape.
wow. smaller DAV3? That's exactly what i need since i actually really like the DAV3 wired, but it is just a tad too big for me.
Hi will you do a artisan type 99 review or you dont do mousepads reviews anymore?
What do u think is better for me, this mouse or lamzu thorn, my hand is 18,9.5 cm and i use palm/relaxed claw
which razer would you recommend for FPS gaming? Currently using a g502 lightspeed.
Razer's website shows Dyanmic Sensitivity (RawAccel/Custom Curve) in Synapse. Pretty huge deal, makes a lot more people exposed to accel curves.
Oh, that same page also shows a viper with buttons on the right side?!
Can you Link this?
Very good video Haus!
How is click pressure compared to DeathEdder v3 pro and v2 pro?
My hands are 20cm long and 11cm wide, which would be better pro or hyper? Also I’m on a gaming laptop, is there a dongle size difference?
What is the weight balancing like?
What do you think, Deathadder v3 Hyperspeed or Viper v3 pro guys? For the feeling of a smaller mouse after Deathadder v3 pro (because it feels too large).
hi, how much lod does that mouse come with default? mine on calibration on "high" doesnt even track more then 1 dvd (1.2mm. does urs do the same? thanks alot
Loved this video, I am contemplating this and normal v3, I have somewhat above average hands (20x12cm) I need to know if it would still work for hand sizes as big as mine? Thanks
Impossible to say for sure of course, even if I had the same hand size as you it'd still end up being about your willingness to adapt. I'd say it should be fine, albeit it's going to feel small.
Bought deathadder v3 2 weeks ago, I really gotta say I do enjoy using it with 8k dongle. Smaller n super light.
I'm intrigued by the shape (again), and how that sensor performs (it's like a cut-down 3395 I believe - same max DPI but with less IPS and G acceleration, which don't matter much anyway)
Pricing is 100 USD/120 EUR/100 GBP on the Razer website too, btw.
There is no measurable performance difference vs this and the Viper V3 Pro / DAV3 Pro!
@@hausgaming maybe the custom acceleration feature is the one to see here I'd say (yes I know Raw Accel exists).
This is soon to release after I've already bought an ergo? [screams internally] The way you described it too, dang it. I know I should've waited a bit. I have 18 x 9 cm hands and also did think that the regular DAV3 was maybe too big.
so if u buy the 4k dongle its basically same cost as logitech superlight 2
Hours, my hands are even larger than yours (20x11.5cm). But I took RJN's challenge, and started using the Pulsar X2H small, and I really enjoy using it. It's even become my main.
Like you, I feel that my DAV3 is borderline too large for me - never thought I would say that! Really interested in trying this one. So let's go with the full review, Odinson! 🍻
what is RJN's challenge?
Looks like it’s $100 USD, that’s not bad for what seems like a direct upgrade to the V3 pro. With the “hyperspeed” tag and the reduced price it’s clearly supposed to be the budget option but idk what you’re sacrificing if you choose the hyperspeed over the V3 pro
Sooo Viper V3 mini hyperspeed is gonna happen or what??
On razer website is 99 $ and the measurements are like medium size.
Is this mouse low tilt grippeable?
just bought my third dav3 wired, couldn't be this sooner xD
Haus, Razer website says this sensor has no motion sync. How do you feel about the cursor movement?
Motion Sync is meaningless, I turn it off in almost all of my mice :D. But indeed no motion sync on this one.
Oh man. Now i need to Upgrade my v3 pro
sorry if i didn’t notice it, but it seems to me that the hyperspeed is kinda off a upgrade over the pro version while being cheaper, but a bit smaller and better clicks? if so, i think i might have an ergo alternative to my viper v3 pro or am i getting something wrong? the deathadder v3 pro also was a bit to big and heavy to click for me.
I'd say it's an upgrade over the DAV3 Pro, but it may not be for you! I might've just been lucky with how the clicks for example feel on my unit. The coating is an upgrade, and the mouse feet do feel more consistent among different kind of surfaces. Performance difference is non-existent with this, DAV3 Pro and VV3 Pro
@@hausgaming thank you for the answer! how much different does the click feel to the viper v3 pro? i might watch out for other reviews too. can’t stand heavy clicks, i need light crisp ones 😄
razer opticals from what i've used are pretty light to actuate, you should have no problem there@@mindofmxz
wait say you dont need a AAA batterie like you did on the viper Hyperspeed thats insane
im dropping my beast x and get this instead, holy shit the smaller size is just too good to not get!
Did you get rid of wooting or is that just a different set of keyccaps
Testing different keebs for a vid
I thought it would use a double a battery
I thought Hyperspeed is going to be AA batteries only?
Razer naming conventions are horrible :D
i think instead of giving this mouse raw accel, Razer should give us an option that we can turn off motion sync instead cuz i cannot see myself using those stuffs
Imagine a Viper V3 Hyperspeed mini 🤤
review the vxe R1 pro ,its the most wanted mouse !!
Dang, this or the Pulsar Xlite V3 which is pretty nearly identical specs to this mouse lol. And it's on sale right now for $69
grab an xlite and the 4k dongle. at that price it's a steal
Are you related to Arrge?
are you just gonna tease us with the lamzu and the boog and the q1he or are u gonna review it down the line
Video incoming
@@hausgaming mashallah 🙏🙏
everybody is saying the price is high, but i think its actually a pretty good ask; falls right into the field of the xlite and thorn and its coming from razer
I'm not sure how one can consider the price high honestly. It's not as cheap as I had liked, but $99 is definitely good when we consider RAZER.
Still za13c wireless waiting room
500 IPS and 40G acceleration are the downgrades on sensor (650IPS 50G on 3395)
Will we notice it?
@@devinfraserashpole4753 Nope, there is no real measurable difference :)
@@hausgaming A perfect buy for those who want a smaller Deathadder and it's cheaper.
Fantastic!
Man i love my Pulsar Xlite V3 Medium but i just love the clicks on Razer. Oh well, time to break the piggy bank.
another 100 dollars out of my bank account damnit! the dav3 pro was what i was hoping to replace my zowie ec3 but it was just too big and no other ergo did it for me so i stuck with my ec3 but now i actually have something to upgrade to. i really hope this is as good as i am expecting because on paper this should be my endgame
viper mini hyperspeed when
Exact same shape as attack shark r1, which goes for 20 usd on aliexpress. no creaks, good clicks. Idk about the price. $140 CAD, attack shark r1 i got for $30 CAD. no creaks, good clicks.
this is literally a DAv3 mini very good
There are rumors that the sensor isn't up to par with the Dav3. No tests on them?
In what sense it's not on par? It does lack MS, but that is meaningless
@@hausgaming No no. It seems the sensors are a revamped 3335 like the 3395se ones on VXE R1. Motion sync isn't there as well. There were reports from the Chinese community, and a South Korean tech site has made some tests of their own. I was hoping you could make some observations yourself. You're one of the most reliable reviewers when it comes to these, so I thought it would be best for you to know.
@@nonri500 I've ran tests, but found no real problems, latency is good, no stability problems and no issues with lift-off distance. Sensor in itself is one thing, firmware makes a big difference. RAZER will definitely have more optimized firmware than VGN!
@@hausgaming Good to know! 26k and the 26x being different sensors had me worrying. Always lookin forward to new vids.
Can you review oled 360hz monitor for competitive gaming
Let's see if I get one! Will definitely review then
@@hausgaming I was looking to buy Asus pg248p but it's only a 1080p TN monitor
@@Decki777hmm have u looked at the alienware AW2725DF it’s a 27 inch 1440p oled 360hz monitor
Get it
So they will make a deathadderV4 pro in large (normal) and medium at around 50 grams with the new sensor?
Sounds like razer is gonna take over the market from logitech if they do that with a new exclusive sensor and ec2 shape/size
Ooooor they make a deathadder v4 signature edition out of carbon fiber for 300€
🔥🔥🔥🔥
thought it's da v3 with battery. but looks like it's a better , lighter, and smaller dav3 pro and even cheaper?
It has a cheaper sensor, which is not as good on paper, but in terms of latency and what I can measure, it's as capable in real world use as the DAV3 Pro!
@hausgaming yeah just noticed that no wonder it's cheaper haha. but in terms of real world use the shape would be amazing! and as you said that performance should not be a concern
Make a Viper V3 Pro Mini and I'm finished chasing my perfect mouse
I wonder why didn't you tested the latency of this mouse. I am an actual schizo and I need the latency test results so bad..
Wait, Is it just Deathadder V3 Mini?
EDIT: I mean V3 Pro Mini
What do you mean? It's nothing like the previous DA Mini. The internals are as performant as on the Viper V3 Pro and the shape is very different to the DAV2 Mini
@@hausgaming DAV3 shape is different from DAV2 so if it's a smaller version of V3, why they didn't just call it DAV3 Mini?
Sorry, V3 Pro Mini*
@@Kasspirr The naming convention indeed is bad :D
What switches does this use? Still the same Razer/Raesha opticals?
Razer/raesha opticals indeed
Only available in black?
yeah i was hoping for a white
Would you considered it for small hands? Especially relaxed claw 17x10 ?
Perfect for your hand size.
Razer DA V3 mini! ❤ My dream mice became trueeee 😭 CHEERS FOR MY SMALL HAND
Price should be $75-$80 max. $100 for that ain't it ngl just for a diff sensor, smaller size and battery despite being "hyperspeed"
How so?
Viper v3 Hyperspeed was fine where it was at for what it had to offer then eventually the Pro. I think when it comes to this one however, I don't see why would they put this near the flagship price of a pro (Usually $159) and possibly cannibalize the Pro version later on in the future. Maybe they priced it near that because of competition? Only thing I can think of
The whole approach is odd this time around - altering the shape and internal instead of external battery? I wonder what is the point in all of that. Hyperspeed was supposed to be their budget wireless line and this thing is...like a flagship?
@hausgaming this guy is high or something😅
I don't like the name convention, I would like just call razer deathadder v3 mini since it's a smaller version
It indeed is around 100€
thank god the dongle is the small one. laptop use matters
Is this the "interesting mouse" you referred to on twitter? 🤔
This is a really good budget mouse it’s light and it’s small and it’s a deathadder what else can I say
Why did they not name this Deathadder V3 Pro Mini. Such a confusing name.
The sensor isn't the flagship sensor of DAV3 Pro, but in reality this solution is just as good. The naming conventions are weird indeed tho
@@hausgaming Gotcha. It has the 3395 instead of the 3950 I assume? I have a Viper V3 Pro and to be honest I can't tell a difference in performance between that and my 3395 mice like the ROG Harpe. Granted I am no pro gamer, but it doesn't seem like there is much performance gain to be had with the 3950 over the 3395.
Its not mini like the deathadder mini v2. Its a lot bigger. Its almost same grip width as the deathadder v3, just shortened. Its a medium deathadder. but 128cm on the v3, u would need like 21-22 cm hands for that to be good. these fit 17-20cm hands much better.
Razer reliability? Wdym, the longest a Razer mouse has lasted me is nine months followed by second position four months. Usually the wheel begins slipping.
Edit: Amazon Spain has it already... Nope, it was the Viper, I searched deathadder and got viper with an image from an angle that I didn't tell apart from the deathadder.
I referred to wireless reliability, not quality over time.
Outset AX clicks or Deathadder v3?
Outset
Weird version next, I hope.
I am having a lot of disconnections while using this mouse.
That's doubtful, RAZER reliability is a different breed to almost all the other brands.
Just get the darmoshark n5, same shape with future 8k pulling
Yeah, Darmoshark mice pull all kinds of things with all kinds of rates
this is def a cop
confusing name by razer

@@hausgaming ok will do thanks. How big are your hands? im looking for a mouse that fills the inside of my hand a bit more than zowie ec2-a so i can palm-claw a bit better, which ergo mouse would you recommend for this? AX?
razer is the worst piece of trash, both mice plus one headset i had broke. i usually handle with care not raging. first was lancehead TE which left/right main button broke, then i bought viper 8khz which had deffective scroll (jumping). never going back to this overhyped overrated overpriced shit of a brand again. headset just fell apart (the ear muffs' sew opened and the whole left ear muff also fell off of its place completely and couldnt put it back ever since.
