The Activity Steps are sub weightage of an activity.it means the bar on timescale has been divided into different peaces. Activity Steps do not use for any CPM purpose. It's used to update the partial progress of your activity. During the Monitoring phase, you realize that your work has different steps and percentages as well. if you want to add a bar then you have to add new activity by creating sub-codes of activity.
