You could make this a series and call it Noob Reviews because 95% of these are just people not understanding what they are buying or not understanding disc golf.
This 100% Someone buying a Wahoo because it floats screams beginner. 90%+ of beginners throwing a 12 speed are going to think it flies like garbage.

As a fresh new player to the beautiful sport of Disc Golf, I feel 100% better about my throws now that I have watched you guys test these discs, because my husband uses that orange Truth prime perfectly, so I KNEW it didn't deserve a one star, that disc is awesome! Now I know I am not the only person that is still learning to throw a disc, and I see it is unfair to judge a disc fully based on your own throw.....unless of course that disc happens to come from the "Disc Golf Deluxe Starter Set from Crown Me" Thank you for your super helpful testing of these discs
Edit: when I say "fully based on your own throw", I am really referring to myself in terms of my newbie experience
I like to try lots of discs even though I'm in the early stages of learning, and I don't wanna give up on the discs I try just based on how I throw because what if I just don't know how to throw that disc yet? I'll keep learning and these videos really help
you should give the wahoo away since that was such a poor upshot :)

LOL, Genius! My first starter set was Viking Discs. Once in awhile one sneaks back into my bag for the day. 🤣😂🤣
As my son and I were starting to get into Disc Golf, someone we know decided to be nice and get my wife a set of those last discs you used. She never started playing. Not sure if it was because of the discs or lack of interest… but I blame the discs fully.
They are still in my room, but in the corner of shame. I don’t feel right donating them to anyone.

Viking Discs Barbarian is absolutely awesome TeeBird clone. It's cheaper and has no flashing or any irritating corners, it's plastic (Armor and Storm) is better than Innova's comparables and I think it even flies better. Therefore I grabbed 3 from an outlet bin. :D

Surprised in the Barbarian being in the list. Out of the Viking lineup I think the Barbarian is probably the best disc they make.
I noticed the glow beast in the thumbnail. My son had to have it. ( cool graphic, glows) its in my trunk, i chuck it around on my lunch breaks. Ive never thrown a straighter 10 speed.
I am always tempted by the cheap amazon discs.... like crown me.

the rubbery discs like divergent can break in the cold easily... but i feel like that's kind of obvious from a rubber blend disc. the main thing is they get more tore up easily with really bad gashes and stuff. at least in my experience
I NEED that six disc starter set, but I guess I can manage without it... lol

I wonder if the reviews about the Alpas ripping are like what Elevation addressed with their discs in a video. Basically microcracks from manufacturing. But I'm sure if it's thin it doesn't help either.
Found one of those base plastics truths in the woods a couple weeks ago. When I texted the owner he said i could keep it 😄
When you guys said the putter was basically a lid all I could think was the SpongeBob scene, “The lid, Patrick, the lid!”

I loved my DX glow beast! Also, the only Viking disc I ever had way way less stable than the number suggested.
I throw the Yikun Wings, and it is fine. It throws great and is very durable. Yikun Discs are better than they get credit for. I mostly bag it because it can do what my Reko X can do but takes up less room in the top pocket of my # bag.
Yikun makes genuinely decent discs, not good, not great, but very decent discs. I recommend the hammer, that's their magnum opus, it's a beautiful approach disc that beats in straight but is tourque resistant
I have 3 beasts. Different wears. These are by far my favorite discs. I can launch them so far. Beat up one is super understandable and can throw it flat to a perfect roller angle. Had it go once to 600ft
Can't bad mouth the burst plastic. So many started with that set
alright hear me out the 6 disc starter set putter is goated i promise its literally just a berg if it had a lil glide. found one on my course and its p good for simple ups and catch warmups lol

This was a fun review, especially as a newbie myself. But, i know when my bad throw is to blame and not the disc.
The Viking disc review was for the first run they had which was all yellow and those things are legendary, unfortunately they didn’t make many, they fly like a 7 speed thunderbird

The Prime Truth is a great flyer, pretty straight with tons of glide.

Great idea for a video. Disc golf is fun even with bad discs.
The divergents do split. Especially in cold weather. This is only if you throw it for more than an upshot. It’s a great disc to approach the basket from a short distance on hazardous baskets where roll away is greater. Other than that. They suck. 🤷🏿♂️
Franklin owners use the last set to boost their discs street cred lol
Yikun discs are decent as hell especially for the price. You can fill a whole bag for like 60 bucks if they're on sale.
What are less useful: random internet reviews (not talking people who have channels or try discs semi-professionally) or flight numbers?
I like the R pro plastic. Gripper than most Dx plastic.
DX Glow beast will get suuuuupppper flippy after one or two tree hits lol

My brother is 12 and has the wahoo as his best driver (again, in Rpro plastic) but all his discs are like 140-150 grams. the wahoo he has is perfectly -2/2 lol
I love the R-pro dart, but I'd absolutely in no way want that material for a driver.
My bro got me a practice basket off Amazon. The basket is great. The set of discs it came with are the exact same as last set you threw, with slightly different branding. Not good at all.

That glow beast is some of the worst plastic I've ever felt. Watched a friend throw it for one round and it looked like it had been destroyed, major chips and gouges
the beast is not as bad as everyone thinks. i feel like it gets a bad name because theres a million beat down dx beasts out there that are junk but premium ones are fine.
Fun fact the crown me driver survived my snow blower last winter I was using it as a toy for my dog

I’ve thrown a Wahoo (I was throwing up to about 430 at the time) and found it to be very overstable, like a 12,5,0,3
I threw one a bit recently. I found the numbers pretty accurate. It was max weight. But I’d assume the pro plastic has a lot of variability.

I have thrown the Crown discs set and they are impressively terrible
Lmao at all these reviews. So many people either 1. Dont understand flight numbers 2. Play with 5 year old incredibly flippy beat in discs or (most common) 3. Think they have a 12 speed arm when they struggle to get a 5 speed flying fast enough.
