I dont think the mention of any note kills my interest in a scent quicker than 'praline'. Loved the video ....very interested in these releases and now definitely want to seek out the vetiver to try
Thanks ever so much for the reviews & your keen insights! End of April they will be available in US & have Vetiver & Habit Rouge on order. (Definitely not interested in Idéal .). Agree entirely with the observation of Guerlain releasing far too many fragrances. On another topic, will you be reviewing “Ripley” on your Substack? Very well done.
@Persolaise Yes, had it not been for the discount I perhaps would have waited to sample. But felt it was a good price. Thank you for your upload. It's always comforting to hear someone feel the same energy from a fragrance as one's self. I was really rather pleasantly surprised by this and I am pleased it's in the collection. It will get a lot of wear throughout spring and a summers evening. I purchased Daniel Josier Vetiver recently and loved it. Was hoping the Guerlain purchase wouldn't render it redundant. I am happy to report it hasn't. All the very best to you.
Hello, I never had any Habit Rouge. I only had the Vetiver EDT which I love. I bought the Lhomme Ideal Parfum which is fantastic for me since I don’t own the other versions. When I was testing the others and after watching this video.. I tried Habit Rouge EDT and the Parfum. I like the EDT but I love the Parfum. I do plan to buy the EDT soon since I really like it too. The Parfum version does smell different but is interesting and has a beautiful scent. Thank you for your reviews!
Interesting. I don't care for the Vetiver at all, but I find the Habit Rouge absolutely delicious. Anyway, I'm addicted to your reviews. You seem so honest in everything you say. Thank you!
Oh I have to try the Guerlain Vetiver Parfum! My favourite Vetiver scent is Oriza L Legrand Vetiver Royal Bourbon. Not sure if that Brand has been reviewed on this channel?
Outstanding reviews from an outstanding reviewer. HR is my signature, EDT and EDP for years. EDT still the holy grail. Privé was excellent nonetheless. Do you think layering Prive with Parfum would reduce the praline thickness and bring a bit more sharpness to the scent? Keep up the great work!
Many noses enjoy and appreciate the experiences later as the months go by of certsin flagship flankers. Many didn't think the newer dior homme 2020 was that hood until they continued to experience it more with wear. I'm quite sure Jelk knows that people like me are stuck on HR edt and are spoiled. 😊. Of course Guerlain will do Heritage and L'instant parfum later. Vetiver is easier to create.
@@Persolaise Oh I see. I apologize that I misunderstood your video. I usually watch in the morning prior to coffee so my brain did not catch everything. I guess a parfum concentration of Héritage would require more orris and oakmoss. One is too expensive and the other is way too regulated. Either way I think your review was superb and always makes me want to buy more from Guerlain!
The consumers, enthusiasts reviews of the new Vetiver EDP were easy to see coming, in their negativity. When you start tweaking with the upper rungs of beloved classics, it’s to be expected. The presentation is not of a flanker, which are given more slack, and which Vetiver has had many. The gin forward aspect had me less concerned than the amped up licorice, many reviews focused on that and none favorably. I find this a 10/10. The licorice is blended so well. Both the gin and licorice twists are never ostentatious. The juniper stands out more but so fittingly, naturally, and the licorice is in perfect balance. . The original Vetiver, pares down then distills my personal tastes to their essence and bottles it. From the effervescent sparkling to most tasteful tobacco, it doesn’t strike me as “tobacco”, every detail earns this so often being termed “the definitive Vetiver”, so this new EDP seemed doomed from the start, but everything Guerlain got wrong with these first 2, they made up for with the Vetiver, and then some. Not just a new welcome addition, a new staple. His take here on all 3 is pitch perfect.
dry down of Vetiver Parfume for my association network works rather like a male version of no. 19 EDP. The opening is very different but after 10-20 minutes I see some resemblance
At Guerlain they are in lack of inspirations lately! They don't dare to release a new male fragrance at last not a new flanker of their oldies! What's next the elixir version of their classics? A very boring trend 👎 great review 👌 👌and I agree with you the best among the three the vetyver is the best! Why don't they bring back Derby on the shelves once again? ❤🤔
Why not a proper version, almost a revival of the current version of L’instant Pour Homme? So many of us would be happier about that than another L’homme Ideal.
@@Persolaise A very good review ✅ I've seen this title "the video that broke the internet" used often and I find it somehow funny, even though it sounds somewhat pompous in the way it is usually used 😅 There's just something je ne sais quoi about this claim. But today I mean it in a positive way when I apply it to your video. On a different note, have you had the chance to smell the fragrances from ORMAIE? How do you find them? I've recently bought Le Passant and I'm smelling 28°right at this very moment.

Have you tried HR Dress Code?
Do let me know what you think of them.
I love the Habit Rouge & Vetiver lines. Not so keen on the Ideal line, but I'll certainly give this new one a go.
Let me know what you think of it. Thanks for watching.
@@Persolaise Got the Vetiver Parfum today. Loved the original & the Extreme, but this is quite the improvement. Delphine does it again!!
@@MuddyGreenMonster Ah, I'm glad you like it too.
Snap! If I had to pick just one, Habit Rouge EDT would be my favourite all time scent, too.
It’s so special, isn’t it?
21:22 another literary reference: A Good Man Is Hard to Find - Flannery O'Connor 🎉
Excellent. Thank you.

Ah, Ripley - I don’t have a Netflix account, I’m afraid. Maybe one of these days…
Thanks for watching.
Habit Rouge EdT all the way! Would love a parfum version of L'Instant and can't wait to try the Vetiver (sprays the EdT in anticipation)
I hope you get to try the Vetiver.
Picked up vetiver on escentual with extra 10% off. 104 quid.
It is a very interesting take and im really enjoying it.

I don’t really ‘layer’ very often, but I guess you could try your idea and see what effect it produces.

Héritage has a parfum square flanker too. It is a fantastic fragrance that reminds me of Le Lion but much more reserved and no smoke.
As far as I’m aware, Heritage is available only as an edt and an edp.
Thanks for watching.
@@Persolaise So this new Vetiver is a Parfum and not an eau de parfum?

Their last masculine 'pillar' was L'Homme Ideal -- I don't expect we'll see a new one for quite some time.
Thanks very much for watching.
@@Persolaise such a pity 👎 a house like Guerlain should come up with something new at last every 5 years! They are on the safe mode! Cheers 😀🥂
I love Habit Rouge Rouge Privé sadly discontinued 😔
It was a limited edition, unfortunately.
U can find it everywhere in the EU.
Habit Rouge is just way way way too heavy. And sickly sweet. Does that mean it’s “modern”? Not a chance. But great review as always.
Thanks very much indeed for watching.
I can't understand why they didn't make a Parfum version of L'Instant
Maybe that’s for next year.
Sounds like HR perfum would be popular as a “women’s” perfume because of the amped up sweetness
Very possibly!
Thanks for watching.
It’s no way a women’s perfume,it’s more manly in my opinion but goes unisex for sure..
I lament constantly having missed out on Dress Code... Parfum may be my last opportunity!
If you want a gourmand-esque HR, then yes, get the parfum.
