Extreme Lightning Storm Santa Rosa Beach Florida

6+ hours of 50+ lighting strikes per minute in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. August 19th, 2024 Never seen a lighting thunderstorm like this ever anywhere. It also was a full moon just above the clouds so added effect. Go to 19:00 to see good stuff. 5000 lightning strikes within 15 miles over an hour.

I'm glad you filmed this! We were there in a beach house and it was the most incredible thunderstorm I have ever seen!! Its hard to describe to people how intense it was. No one in my family could sleep it was so bright and loud! My son said the next morning he felt like God was standing in his room yelling at him, and taking pictures! 🤣

Yeah. I was just going to take a few min of video but it just kept going and going and going. Grew up in south Florida so no stranger to extreme lightning but this was on another level. Over 5000 strikes within 15 miles in an hour. Must be all the UFOs over eglin.
