    Luiza,
    Your work is beautiful, both in execution and final result. Tutorial is very helpful. How do you apply the highlights without lifting the pigment underneath? It seems that the floats do not always dry or spread the pigment evenly (at least when I do them) and, while not such a problem on garments, it is problematic on faces. It seems that you use the first highlight to make blend and create a smoother appearance but I do not see how you do the blending without lifting the pigment below. Thanks for sharing your work!

      Thanks! To avoid lifting pigment, allow 1-2 days for the tempera to cure completely. To get even floats I allow the pigment to separate in my palette after I've mixed it, and take only the top of the mixture with the finest particles. Even so, I still get edges. I have to mask them as best as I can. Floating on a cured tempera layer always helps with touch-ups.

    First i wonder about the stages named float.. we mix the colour with egg or with water?
    Second, after so many layers of colour we don't face any problems with the "skin's" look? Like cracks?

    • @luizab221
      @luizab221  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mix egg and water together. keep the layers thin to avoid cracking. they should all be transparent
