      @@thatsclassicher1149 plus that heavily influenced the judgement in her favor during the UK trial. The judge ignored all of Johnnys evidence and even stated his decision was based on that “donating 7 million dollars, is not the actions of a gold digger”. He basically made up his mind from her lies about her donating her entire divorce settlement! I wish Johnny could go back and appeal that judgement even further because it was won based on lies and bias.

      @@w.t.1338 Absolutely Shows how Elaine has a "good" reputation; she's earned it with these Experts & more in her pocket. I bet future Attorneys up against her from now on come down hard on her "Experts". Because it seems they are paid to write Exactly the BS Elaine needs, factual or not backed up with facts (Speigel), to write reports that say what she wants/needs. Her Experts never expected to be cross examined. They never expected to be Questioned about their reports/findings. Same. I remember when I was listening to Mayim Bialik's podcast about the difference between trauma and PTSD, and I was like, "holy crap, I have PTSD. I need to talk to someone about this." I had absolutely no idea whatsoever. And when someone, a real person in my regular life, inadvertently revealed to me that I had PTSD, it shattered me. I was so grateful that there was an ANSWER. And ever since then, when people talk about it I get choked up because it makes me feel like a real person, that someone understands and recognizes.

      I bet Speigel has Given Elaine Everything She Wanted prior in other cases for depositions; she usually gets to Settlement in her cases could this be a contributing factor? If I had a client who was forced to undergo an exam by him in one of those cases I would be filing paperwork immediately. This is why hiring the same expert works over & over. He got into so much horse shit about Depp that had zero substance ie...street drugs, vomit vs ice cream, fed lines vs music in an earpiece. There was so much more he gave Elaine it's pitiful if he did this to others.

    Dr Richard Shaw’s opinion was spot on. This man provided a thorough explanation of what can be said and how without actually meeting with the person you are providing an opinion on. I have done about a thousand clinical psychological assessments and what he has said in his testimony is how I was trained. I did some neuropsychological assessments as an intern and know you can conclude nothing from a mini mental status exam without further assessment. Any screener like that can at best raise red flags to guide further assessment.
    Dr Spiegel’s careless answers are very professionally concerning.

    A couple of days ago, Law & Lumber was on a video with The Behavioral Arts, and he mentioned that clients generally gravitate towards attorneys that match their personalities. That seems to extend to attorneys picking expert witnesses as well, and I only just realized how much witnesses reflect on the people they're "for." I paused the video to write this, and so far all I've seen Dr. Shaw do is give his CV, but already he's reflecting SO well on JD to me.

      - grandiose statements, belief they are the best at their work or in the field etc. But they don’t check well enough for if it can be backed up with facts or logic. You can see that in the Dr Death series too. Politicians have this issue in spades as well.

    • @Katerine459
      @Katerine459 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just wanted to clarify my original point. I don't know JD, of course, and TBF, I always have to remember that JD and AH are both actors (JD arguably being a much, much better actor), so I can't say for certain that I know his true personality even after seeing his testimony. So when I say that Shaw reflects well on him, I don't mean that I know they match personalities, exactly. What I mean is, well...
      I'm having a hard time putting this into words (I should be asleep right now), but what I mean is that I never realized just how much a witness can make the person they're testifying "for" look good just by association. Like, even though Shaw and JD probably only know each other through JD's lawyers, just the fact that JD picked his lawyers and his lawyers picked Shaw made JD look good, just because Shaw came across as so quiet and unassuming.

      @leticiavasquez8566 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yeah the guy was calling her friends hipsters so she was definitely not amused and it sounded like there was a reaction from everyone in the room. Whats funny is that the whole idea of trailer park realness as a theme for a getaway is very hipster in itself lol.
      I think she has been very annoyed from the beginning of rebuttals because it is the most her character and popularity has been attacked this whole time. Up until now its been about the DV allegations in which she feels completely validated and she expectes kickback from JDs team on that and was prepared to react stoically wherein she feels this is all very unfair and it is harder for her to keep her emotions in check about it. It is clear that as soon as rebuttal happened she startes being more animated, writing feverishly and passing notes to the lawyers doing cross ex to ensure they made the points she wanted. Wherein JD has trusted his lawyers implicitly and only on one occasion passed a note to chew who them passed a note back because something was said that JD realised was not accurate. She on the otherhand seems to not trust her team 100% and it shows with the demeanor at her table imho.

    I hope that the highlighting of the "goldwater rule" will encourage people to stop making armchair diagnoses of all involved in this case, including amber heard. There could be a number of things going on for either parties here. (Not a fan of amber just saying we shouldn't all claim to be clinical psychologists)

      No we all don’t but when you grew up with a diagnosed narcissist with diagnosed bpd and you now have diagnosed ptsd and bpd you can sit there and say yep that’s exactly what she looks like she has. Cos a lot of us have lived and are living it.

    • @Youokhun
      @Youokhun 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Yes exactly, especially because it does not present the same in each person. Two people could have BPD and have completely different symptoms / behaviours etc.. so no one can ever truly know even if they themselves have BPD or have family members with BPD (or other diagnosis)

Not being able to talk about that is hard after being told so often that there is nothing wrong with the narcissist . Dr Curry did that by speaking about Amber as a human who has shown these traits. There were several witnesses/days I missed originally because of work etc, so I've slowly been rewatching the trial as background noise to see the whole picture. Originally when I saw the Morgans' testimonies, I was so peeved with Elaine for accusing them of seeking their 15 minutes.
    Watching that testimony now, with the context of AH's friend depo's, the doctors, damage experts etc, it makes me laugh, but also LIVID. Over the course of a few days Elaine watched a dozen holes get poked in their sides story (Bania obliterating the damage expert and hashtags, the dr's rebutting AH's side, the holes poked in Rocky/Josh/IOs annoyingly similar stories), and started attacking peoples' character because she had nothing left to go on. She sat through the Rebuttal Battle of the experts and knew they were fucked, so decided to play even slimier and dirtier than she had already. Absolutely gross behavior.
