Search internet for laptop schematics. Lots of schematics are downloadable from various websites. Sometimes, can't find exact schematic, just try to work from closest schematic available. As for parts, you can scavenge lot of parts from dead or obsolete motherboards which are of no use. Trash is treasure. LOL

I am trying to see how you arrived at the reference voltage of 10 volts when it is not given on the schematic and you didn't show how you then replaced the chip to prove you were 100% right. I can only ask if you do another board in future you fire the board up before and after you start sorting the problem. Well done for figuring it out.

Measured power button with 3v, checked big inductors without 5v & 3v, checked 19v pass through 2 MOSFET are ok, checked 3v & 5v power supply rail with 19v. Tried to replace super io ic, found out power on button indicator was light up but laptop no still power. Any idea? Thanks
Hi I own the Acer Aspire E1-571G which its power jack was loose and sometimes not charging the battery , once I open the laptop and tried to fix the power jack loose connection wire , however suddenly my Iron solder shortcutted to the power jack body and sparked and my laptop never turn on anymore , I guess polar diode connected to power input socket may harmed I really appreciated to have any advice or repair procedure for this issue

With no voltage at the gate, the Source and drain should not have a low resistance ie. no voltage should be leaking through the Source and Drain with the gate at 0V or GND.
I took my PC in to have it serviced. There was lots of dust inside and the heatsink was hard, brittle. The tech guy cleaned it and put NEW heatsink! The "Acer Aspire 5733Z" still CONTINUES to turn off after a few minutes. If you plug anything into the usb, it turns of faster. What can it be? HELP?

How is PQ3 the problem of the board?? Because it was giving out a supposed 18.94 volt from the source pins
So that mosfet that u check in the last part of the video, was the continuity done any of the pins to get that shorts are something specific?

how the first mosfet is short? the 18-19volts are present ..why?
Great but how you concluded its the mosfet may be any short/damaged capacitor/resistor pushing much voltage to the chip
Because the p-channel Mosfets gate voltage of 19 V is correct. If something else would be defect, the gate voltage would be incorrect.
