Funny how I posted a rabbit hole of Panasonic radio pics in a different group a few days ago. I also found that Panasonic was a part of National . Who made hf, vhf,uhf radios outside the USA. Panasonic was the US brand sold in USA. National also made the unobtainable Hy Gain HF rig. Panasonic also had a large chassis base radio, duel meters, 40ch. The famous " round" speaker grill.... only owned 1 mobile with the duel meters, never got it going.
Wow a Panasonic RJ3200 I haven't seen those in a long time. Yes here in the Miami area in the Mid 80's I had a lot of friends that did have them down here. 73 to you 390 Wagonmaster
Put it on display, and let it rest in piece. I always found the Panasonic to be like a Royce, Very pretty to look at.....But disappointing when powered up. Good video 390, 73's
I bought so many '70s radios with the social security number of the owner scratched in they really were trusting back then. FYI I'm enjoying all my new credit cards lol😂
Back then, law enforcement encouraged CB radio owners to engrave their SS# or their drivers license number into a conspicuous place. Identity theft wasn't anywhere near as easy in 1975 as it is now. Don't forget to register to vote, too.
I had a 40 channel Panasonic CB as a young teen. I sold to a friend and he blew it up on accident. I think Panasonic CB radios are the prettiest radios made. Them and the Craig brand.
Interesting port hole located center mass on the pc board!😏👍 Wait one minute, is that hole put there so the speaker magnet/voice coil to stick through when the lid is on???if so, the circuit board designer had one hell of a headache to deal with...lol🤣👍
Sounds like power line noise. I have an old Motorola signal generator that I test with. It goes down to 0.10 microvolts and it surprises me how many old radios and scanners are sensitive all the way to the bottom of the generator.
I think this is what you are looking for. I am lucky enough to live less than 5 miles from this store, they are a local treasure for many a decades. standardsupply.myshopify.com/products/61-602-2-pin-inline-female Cheers.
Considering how many 23 channel tube radios Panasonic made for others it's amazing that they never marketed them themselves.
Looks high quality and what you expect from Panasonic from the 80s. Great find

Certainly a cool looking faceplate design from back in the day. Very space age looking. 🚀 👍

I have its older brother, the 40 channel RJ-3150
That reminds me of the Pierce Simpson, Gladding ...I bought new in the box it's beautiful made in USA
I still get a lot of use out of 23 channel CB radios
Me too , holding my doors open in the summer and keeping my truck from rolling away.
Nice radio.

You can do nice mods to that radio as well & get all 40 channels. -73's you Mud Duck!
Nice radio UDX-390.
I like the faceplate. I've never seen one like that.
Idk, some fresh caps, alignment, might be as good as it ever was?
The one that I have has an FCC license requirement sticker on the back if that helps you figure out a date
I've got one of those in the box. Can't find a power plug.
