    Cool vid! It actually looks better in black.

      I might end up painting the whole desk black as well, so outboard gear will blend in nicely.

    This was a great video! I think I'll try to replace my faceplates (I have two Artist Mix units) before I attempt to replace the faders myself (which I hear can work, but is a nightmare of a repair). Still, if I just need to clean out the inside and change faceplates, I'll save tons of cash.

    Hi Aldo … could you please show us how you mounted your Artist Mix into your desk.

      Hi, the units just sat floating in the desk at the time. That desk had dimensions cut out for these units with a little cable slot. It was a DYI desk. Nowadays there's desks that come pre-cut for these kind of units.

    Thanks for this video. Very helpful! Question: do the fader knobs lift straight off? I couldn't tell.

    • @AldoSpadaroOfficial
      @AldoSpadaroOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They do. You could use a towel or something under the knobs to pull them off to protect the surface. Regards,

    Been looking to get the replacement faceplates but its not available anywhere.
    AVID should just release the design moulds for Chinese manufacturers to produce.. and then mass produce.

      Did u find a supplier for a new faceplate in the end?
      I also want to find one.

      @@EvLoutonian No I didn't. Moved on with the SSL controller UC1 + UF8 instead. AVID support on hardware is ridiculously non-existent.

      Hi! Try looking for the Unified Workstation software. I think you can find this on the avid site. That will workout the compatibly issue. Good luck mate.

      @AldoSpadaroOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jep, true. They are all plastic. Did preferred the silver ones at first glance, but not anymore.

    These units have faceplates that don't hold up so well or tend to crack over time.
