This rice has so much potential. My first thought was a burrito bowl. Rice, Homemade refried beans without oil... I do terrible things like onion powder, garlic powder and some taco seasoning in the beans... because no fat means I add extra flavor. Then corn, salsa and cheese. I don't have a freeze dryer... but it would work and require no tortillas. It would also only need 1 pouch. This would also work with a green chili with cheese and rice. You are only limited by the boundaries of your imagination.
awsome i feel famous....after 6 mths of use my oilless pump went out.i bought a HR cheapy oil pump ill say the vacuum has to be 100 times stronger.thanks dude. i cant wait till dinner.
Thanks I knew you would like it. As for the pump, sorry to hear of your loss. It was for that reason I stuck with the oil filled pump, much more affordable to replace.
Ouch. I have one of those on the way. Was there no warranty? I thought there would be. I had heard great things on the HR customer service for broken things and problems.
Also, it seems that Harbor Freight sells a near identical replacement for the basic oil vacuum pump. I would be tempted to go with it for a probably even cheaper replacement.
This will be interesting. We go through so much rice, we have one of those dedicated rice cookers. However, we usually make family of 3 size batches not a full cooker.
No I fully cook, to reconstitute I totally cover in hot water and let sit for about 4 minutes. I then drain of any water not absorbed. Comes out perfectly every time
Thats one thing i enjoy about you videos, you take everyone through the entire process. 👍👍
Thank You
Really appreciate that you show the reconstituted product. Thanks.
This is awesome. Having cooked, ready to eat rice is going to be so handy. Thank you for all you do
Respect to you for the anchor hocking glassware . Ohio made

I'm at work but if you search my videos I freeze dried some sweet baby rays. Make sure you watch it all or you could end up with a mess
How long did it take to FD the 4 trays of rice?
How do you make sure you dont get mush when reconstitute? Leave under done before freeze dry?
