Used to race 1/10 oval over 10 years ago. Watching this makes me miss the sport, but I don’t have the time for it anymore. Makes me want to get a buggy,though. LOL

You probably wouldn't be very competitive with such an ancient car but you'd be able to enter it. I'm running the same car OP is, an RC10B4.2 RTR, and I have a feeling I'll get to within about 1.5-2.5 seconds of the top guys running midmotor cars. I'm on Proline Pyramid tires all the way around and the traction rolling is real, haha.
Any tips for getting a recalcitrant old B4.2 to behave itself? My local track is on the black carpet and I've got Proline Pyramid tires all the way around on mine. I've tried the wedge style tires on the car in the video but it just results in immense understeer. With the Pyramids I get traction rolling.

You know, I was thinking about that, but there's a lot more bumps and shocks on the ground. I'm not sure if it would lend itself well to FPV.
