When you realize Grandpa's deck had a Dark Magician, Summoned Skull, Blue Eyes and 5 pieces of Exodia back in the pilot is insane.
When you realise This Grandpa's deck has _KASHTIRA OGRE_

Imagine the plot twist of the "kaiba build his theme park" arc was how Grandpa had brought a full Kashtira deck and he beat Yugi in the finale so he can learn to git gud.
Sam got tired of losing against SeeReax, so he hired Joesph instead.
He always gets caught cheating and Seereax fans get really pissed about that. So he brought someone with no fans to counter that.
If it isn't obvious, it's a joke...

Fun fact. In the pilot episode it can be Sean that grandpa had a dark magician, one of the blue eyes(only 4 are created that time), and the only copy of Exodia. All of this was won by being the previous duel king in his era. He was undefeated because while everyone was playing a slow roll archetype. Grandpa was playing fucking kashtira.

I really like this drafting format, making a deck out of the box which contains a specific character card. No convoluted rules, no cheating and lots of Nostalgia!
Honestly prefer draft format over the pre-built stuff.
Some characters won't get as much out of this. Especially the one's who get some of their best support from outside the pack.

Fan facts Grandpa's Ace is the Exodia so that definitely his deck the Egyptian God is technically an Atem/Marik cards but it's an alternate time line as Sam said and Grandpa runs a card shop so you can expect him to have all the good cards at least Yugi follow the team with his Magnets

Idk, the Egyptian God Card side of things kind of makes sense since he really loved being able to see them when Yugi had them in his possession, and the Exodia side is completely on brand for Grandpa Moto 🤔
the base deck of Yugi was originally his which is how we know of the exodia strategy but afterward, he switched to gadget, magnetic warriors, etc. An upgraded version of that would have made more sense @@homerman76
