I feel like the problem with this challenge is that the higher up on the tier list you go, the more you need hand traps and board breakers. Eventually it’ll just be a contest of who goes first
@MasterMagus8 hand traps exist as a way of allowing players to go second. Similarly board breakers do the same. Hand traps and board breakers are nothing new to yugioh. Raigeki is an old ass card and Maxx c (the best hand trap in the game) is from 2011. Lava golem isn't a new card either, and sphere mode is actually a God card.
As much as I do love the roasts across the board, I think my favorite thing about this series is seeing the level of respect and appreciation they give each other rise with every single duel.

You can tell Deion isn't really a Dark Magician "main" because he's not trying to rush to Dragon Knight to set up the Knight-Circle-ES combo as early into the duel as he can.
@@tolkienblack I mean pure DM and DM support isn't really a limited archetype. You may not have options outside of DM but DM certainly has more options than running 3 eternal souls. Though I can understand why some newer DM players would want more than one for the fear of it being taken out, but honestly one is enough because you have so many ways to get it out, and can easily get it protected. DM has more options in it than a lot of other pure archetype decks.
Dark Magicians just need a way to bring out DM Knight easier to be more competitive. Maybe another archetype exclusive monster or spell that gets rid of a lvl 7 or higher magician in your hand, or a continuous or regular trap that pitches a DM or DM Girl to the grave for a negate. Maybe ditch a spell to negate a spell, ditch a monster to negate a monster, etc… If it’s a trap/quick play that can be activated in your hand to negate that would be the best.

FINALLY. an even standalone archetypes. not only that, both are quite wellknown as well. this probably the best wheel duel so far. in fact, our host seereax is unusually full of energy this time.
If anyone hasn't realized these two are actually solid with each other and the jokes/banter are played up to make things fun, the fact Sam didn't make a fuss with the RL Time limit and surrendered even after that last play is all the proof in the universe. Love you both.
This is my favorite duel in this series, and in this tier. Back and forth as the duel goes on, man it gets my adrenaline going, because you don't know who's gonna play, and cards they have facedown on the fields it's exciting to watch and see ❤

Out of all the duels I've watched between these two, I feel like this is the most I've ever seen Sam serious. Like he has never been so quiet, it's insane to see him like this. Can't help but laugh and watch intently because they're so intense. Love this series
Val's editing always top tier . Loved those call backs to previous Sam's shenanigans and Coach(Nat) being disappointed in Sam 😂. B tier pertty close to how decks are nowadays so, a lot of card switching etc per turn. So I wouldn't have been surprised if Seereax wasn't having it when Sam was trying to do his comboes.
Seereax is doing what sam just said at the beginning of this video and it's like what mai Valentine said in the duelist kingdom arc "it's Psych out warfare."

Sam was losing this regardless naturia is a nice stall deck but it's no where near on the same level as spellcaster support.

Eternal soul is just a target otherwise that is why people rush it. If you don't have it protected they will use it to screw your cycles up.
