On August 29, 1987, Madonna made history by performing in front of the largest crowd ever in French history. More than 130,000 people attended the show. Jacques Chirac, the Prime Minister at the time, made sure that the show would happen mostly because his daughter loved Madonna.
This was an amazing HUGE SCALE 4our for the time and ffor now ! She's amazing . My other favorite is Tina Turner also in 1988 in Rio sold out to 185,000+ fans ..so then that made her not only the only female artist but for the times the only single artist to ever fill that big of a stadium .. until after the 90s I think it was her and Madonna .. amazing ..queen came close

I was at that concert. My then boyfriend, now Husband of 33 years took me as a surprise because I missed the London show through being unwell. It was fabulous. Madonna was amazing at that time. Mesmerising to watch, the energy there was fantastic and in a beautiful setting and city too.
I am a Madonna fan but still the audacity and the nerve to perform in front of such a HUGE crowd with her tiny voice.. This woman is really phenomenal!
There was a celebrity “in the house” when I went to the Rebel Heart tour (Nashville).. no one other than Ms REBA!! Which she ended up twitting “Well we’re here, where’s Madonna?” LOL!!! She did stay for the whole show though

L'époque était bien plus calme, avec beaucoup moins d'agressivité. Même s'ils commençaient t déjà à disparaître, le respect et la bienveillance étaient encore de mise. Madonna était jeune, encore impertinente. Quels souvenirs précieux que cette journée et cette soirée d'été...
Moi aussi, j'y étais, muni de mon billet acheté 150 francs (que j'ai encore), j'avais presque 16 ans. Je me souviens de cette foule immense, je devais être à mi-chemin entre le château et la scène. Je me souviens aussi de Louis Bertignac et les Visiteurs (ex-Téléphone) qui avaient joué en fin d'après-midi en première partie. L'attente a paru longue jusqu'à 21 heures, moment où la nuit commençait à tomber et où le spectacle a débuté. Un très beau souvenir aussi.
