youtube is wonderful when it works. my uncle lost his eye sight too early that i could learn these modelling/painting techniques from him. now i can sit at the elbow of any number of crafty uncles and watch the secrets of their hobby or trade. thank you for showing us all. 🙂
Thank you! It’s an enjoyable kit from Meng without much fuss. I would definitely recommend getting the Voyager Model photo etch set for it, the added detail of the tailgate latches and the bedside tie-down points are really nice. Not to mention the addition of Toyota badging which isn’t standard in the kit.
@@throughasmallerlens building models already takes a lot of time, throw in video editing too and it takes twice as long. I get it. When friends and family ask me they are shocked to hear it takes me about an hour of editing time for every minute of finalized video.
Thank you! 😁 It’s always the process that takes me the longest but I like being able to look at it for a few days after each major step before moving onto the next to make sure I’m happy with it
realy good tuorial - its giving me some motivation to restart my abandonded model (heller 1/24 tractor) -new to the hobby - was distracted by PITA airbrush - bits of sponge and brushes i can deal with !
That's great to hear! Airbrushing can definitely be tough to get the hang of at first. I struggled a lot with getting the mix of thinner and paint right at first and now I recommend using either pre-thinned lacquer paints like Mr. Paint (MRP) or pre-thinned acrylics like Vallejo Air to shortcut that.

Great video. Glad TH-cam suggested it to me. Subscribed and looking forward to watching your previous few.
Thank you! Hopefully not as long until the next one as this one was to the last😅
