@@Auxiliary_ArtilleryI thought MC stood for Micro Compact! Which even then idk I feel like so many guns blur the lines lol. This one is a proper baby gun tho! I want one bad!!!
To fix any issues with light strikes, stovepiping, or slide-return failure, upgrade the striker spring to the 29 newtons (6.52 lb) spring, and for the feeding issue do a little polishing to the feed ramp and presto.
I own 2 MC9 and several other Caniks. I've never had issues. I've shot the MC9 in several IDPA matches & have over 7000 rounds between the 2 of them. They are very accurate. Personally, I have smaller hands, so the space at the mag & grip frame doesn't bother me. Plus, it keeps it from printing if I carry with the 15-round mag. I've seen a few other guns that have that space & not 1 reviewer has said a word about it on those guns. 🤷♂️. To each their own.
Had mine for 3 weeks now with about 400+ rounds through it. Not one jam or any problems. Mine was $573 because it came with Canik’s “Mecanik” Mo1 mini red dot. Definitely a wonderful EDC
The cut out on the bottom of the magazine is to lower the amount of printing of the firearm when concealing the gun. Doesn’t make a huge difference but it definitely helps some. I carry the tp9 Elite SC and it helps some having the cut out at the bottom of the magazine.
Canik sending me a whole new gun. Had issues with the first one with various rounds catching on feed ramp and slide to going back into battery. Mind you this is after the new recoil spring from canik and polished feed ramp. Their customer service was great and on top of it but I’m waiting to see if this new one works properly. If Speer gold dot and hst are catching on feed ramp there’s a problem for sure. I even had a 115 FMJ nose dive so hard it took a chunk out. It’s weird though there’s people who have 1000s of rounds no issues. I think there’s a quality control problem and barrel/ spring issue
The red dot striker showing up doesn't indicate there is a round in the chamber. Just shows it is cocked. The loaded chamber indicator is on the top of the slide. Read the book.
Anyone still looking, I was ALMOST about to buy a Canik Mete MC9, had my sights set on it and everything. I even own a Canik SFX Rival and love it zero issues, so why not the Mete MC9 too for an Edc? Well I found 1 video talking about how the Mete MC9 around 300-500 rounds goes out of battery. Upon further investigation on Reddit and other TH-cam videos searching this problem, it seems to be a common problem, at least common enough to prevent me buying right now. This along with the fact there are currently no aftermarket stainless steel guide rods available for the Canik mete MC9 had me cautious and instead leaning towards another micro compact, like a Springfield hellcat or hellcat pro, even if snappy, choosing Springfield over Canik due to simply being more reliable in this regard. Time will tell, but thought someone should know if they are considering the mete MC9. I'd hate to have to always wonder when the gun was going to go out of battery and replace the guide rod every 300-500 rounds, not something I'd bet my life on! I see a lot of people saying instead of the mete MC9, go for the slightly bigger brother Canik TP9 Elite SC as that is pretty much everything improved (even though no longer micro compact) of the mete MC9. This video confirms that for me and if everytning youre saying im this video runs true i am leabing to the TP9 Epite SC for sure, i used to run a Taurus g3c and dont think I'd mind the size difference. The Tp9 elite SC also has great aftermarket options which i absolutely love! It's a shame, because I feel the mete MC9 trigger is great and it shoots well, and isn't as snappy as other micro compacts, but, the mag release doesn't always work well in my opinion, the magwell is too bendy for me and not solid. You can squeeze the grip on the sides of the MC9 which makes the mag harder to drop out after, personally I don't like anything flimsy or feeling like a toy on my firearms. If anyone has nothing but positive reviews and shot 500+ rounds flawlessly please let me know, maybe this out of battery issue is only for a small percentage, but still, I love Canik and think this should never have been such an issue for a lot of buyers! Conclusion: I want to buy a canik mete mc9, but have trust issies from numerous reviews about it going out of battery. I have a Taurus gx4 and love it, but the mag release button is TOO sensitive and drops when I barely press it. My next purchase to find my "perfect conceal carry" will probably be springfield hellcat, hellcat pro, or canik tp9 elite sc... Thoughts?

Was thinking about buying this one now but after reading comments I think I’ll pass. Sfx was the first gun I ever bought that took so much to get working properly from the factory .
Years ago i bought a Canik 9mm from the local police and first reponders oriented retailer. I shot at the range under 200-250 rounds 9mm Federal. The gun locked up, the top chamber indicator malfunctioned/broke in two. The next worst part of the experience was the communication with the folks at Canik. The staff at the firearms dealer did the communicating and it was a confusing, drawn out lack of communication and frustrating process. The final straw was when Canik finally communicated that they would warranty repair the gun but it would be sent to a random, unknown repair destination. Not the Canik factory or a official Canik authorised owned facility. Buy a gun and having it fail to opporate is like buying a car and having the wheeks fall off when leaving the dealership. In short, i sold this gun back 4 what i paid and bought another long standing brand 9mm pistol. I will not buy a Canik product again due to the whole bad experience.
