Thank you, usb 3.0 vs 2.0 is this port plug in size or upgraded tech? I pulled one out one of the usb cords and can't get it to go back in. I have a cord running from my modem, I suppose this plugs into tv hdmi? My 1995 Nintendo cord is attached to coaxial (don't lol, I'm an old Girl who still loves to play on these). I'm guessing I can attach cable to the end of this Nintendo usb, which has a coaxial at its end, will work? Does this tv come with a flash drive, I though one was missing from box?

I notice in picture size settings the " zooming and positioning " option is greyed out ( not accessible). Why is that option there if I can't change the aspect ratio of the content? My little 32 inch Samsung could do that. Please Mr. Steve, how could I access that picture size option. Thanks in advance.

I will say that if you're sat off-centre, there's quite a bit of color fading because of the viewing angles being a tad poor, it's something you should bear in mind if you're considering this TV. I suggest you visit a store that has it on display first - I bought it online and only noticed this after receiving it.

A great video Steve, I'm actually going to purchase the 55" model for both a bedroom tv/Mac mini monitor combo. It's great that someone reviews the entry level models, not everyone is after "absolute perfect colour/contrast/etc.", I've never had an issue with a Samsung tv, and Tizen is so easy to navigate.

What about the back light PWM frequency? Samsung is usually pretty aggressive with this (usually around 120-240Hz) to help in their motion, but unfortunately gives many folks bad headaches. Thanks!

Do you think you'll be able to review the AU9000 at some point? Really curious about that one, especially when it comes to the how VRR works on it and the Motion Xcelerator Turbo function, which supposedly allows you to simulate 120hz even though it only has a 60hz panel.
Interesting, that must be why I can barely find anything about that model online. Come to think of it I don't believe the TU8500, which I suppose is the one that the AU9000 is meant to replace, was available in the US either. I wonder if it's not viable for Samsung since in the US these TVs would have to compete with Vizio and the Roku TCL models, which you don't get in Europe.
@@sushkoli8034 from the specs, the au9000 dual led model. when i compare at the store. the au9000 is more bright. and more colour (maybe like 15% more colour, but more brighter). but still when compare to a qled model 2020, the qled model 2020 samsung still wins.

Hey steve..i purchased this samsung 55au8000 tv and i noticed that the TV is emitting more brightness over the corners aswell as on top side of screen too..when i contacted samsung customer care they as telling it as MURA effect .......it is causing more disturbance to eyes when watching tv at night times without light ...can you confirm me if you had observed this issue over the TV...waiting for your reply ..thanks

This TV or any TV doesn’t support the Google Play store, the have a dedicated application store built in under apps. Most TVs don’t support Facebook because it’s not a computer but some has FB watch for videos only
I’m not a gamer, most of the time I don’t notice any glitches but i will make some more videos on this model including comparison videos. I’m working on a project and a different testing configuration. Please be patient

The usb is for thumb drives, keyboards and mouse not gaming consoles
