My grandmother used to chase away bears by threatening them with a carpet beater. When I was a little kid, I was confused by the seasons. I wondered why winter was six months long and the other three were only two months each, while in books it kept saying they were the same length. Of course, I was in a tiny place in the middle of nowhere in Canada's North. Had a lot of culture shock when I came south.

brown, black and grizzly bears hibernate in the winter. Hibernation can last anywhere from 4-7 months, triggered by seasonal food shortages, cold temperatures and snow cover. Polar bears do not undergo true hibernation. The polar bear's white coat serves as camouflage while hunting on snow and sea ice.

One of the most popular summer destinations is in Ontario and it is Wasaga Beach, which is at the tip of Georgian Bay (adjacent to Lake Huron). It has been declared the longest freshwater beach in the world, at 14 kilometres long. The town of Wasaga Beach itself has a population of just over 20,000. However during the summer months it is estimated that nearly 2 million people will visit the Wasaga Beach area. It really is a jewel. Thanks for the great video on Canadian summer destinations. 👏👏🥰🇨🇦

Can confirm. Locals in towns between Toronto and there will do everything to avoid the jam on the 400 lol 😁

Roads are always bad in "true spring" but some places they just don't budget well for repairs, so it can be a year round thing. The issue is "water" - water (fall rain, early snow melting, etc) runs into the little cracks. Winter temps hit, water freezes and expands inside those cracks... making them bigger. Repeat that a dozen times or more before "winter" settles in, and another dozen plus in spring... any weak points in the road are now potholes... and if you only fix the potholes, or the biggest potholes there are plenty of cracks for water next fall.

I don't know where that last one was but we have a short spring and a LONG HOT HUMID summer where I live in Ontario. LOL

bagged milk is only in a few provinces in Canada so that was recorded from a province that didn't have it. OR he just bought a carton of milk instead. We have cartons and bagged milk here in Ontario.

You can have AC on in the day and heat on at night. All depends on where you live and if the sun is out.

The rocks on the beach helps stop each erosion.. cheaper when you have to replace sands.

bagged milk is not in most of Canada...really only in Ontario and maybe a few other Eastern places...everywhere else uses plastic gallon bottles...but even where bagged milk is a thing in Canada bagged milk is only if you are buying 4 liters at a time if you are single and don't use a lot of milk you end up buying the smaller amounts in cartons.

There is not bagged milk everywhere in Canada. We use to use bagged milk but we just use cartons or plastic bottles but it's still available

Bagged milk is just an option. You can also get various sizes of cartons and jugs, if you so choose.

If you have central air, your heating and A/C are combined in the same system in your house. The potholes in the streets are largely the result of, as you noted, the expansion and contraction of the asphalt due to fluctuations between warm and cold. But, in addition, the salt used in winter to melt the ice on roads has a corrosive effect on the pavement, so it eats through the asphalt to an extent.

Please come and visit Canada!!!! The scenery is exactly like this. Banff is full of tourists, but is a fantastic area to see. Travel the ice fields hwy to Jasper for an even more beautiful experience. Check out the unbelievable colour of Maligne Lake. Get away from the cities to see the real countryside. And remember Ontario is only a small part of Canada, visit Niagara Falls and see the best parts of 🇨🇦 instead!

9:13 this part isn’t Fundy but looks like it. This is on the St. Laurent River that divide New Brunswick and Quebec.

Anything over +17c is comfortable for Canucks … especially in the springtime (March & April)

The southern shore of Georgian Bay (part of the Great Lakes) is Wasaga Beach, home to the World's Longest Freshwater Beach and one of Ontario's most unique coastal dune ecosystems. More than 14 kilometres of white sandy coastline welcome millions of visitors from around the world every year. Chimo

"How are you going" sounds so strange to my Canadian ears. Most often my answer would be "by car." How is it going is way more comfortable for us Canucks.

Personally I prefer the variety of US lakes -- warm water lakes and alpine lakes.

Majority of Canadians drink milk bought in cartons, not bags. Just like few Canadians say aboot. But the you do usually have the option of cartons or bags. I just cringe though when people call them typical Canadian.

Oh believe me, we get summer in Canada. In some places, up to 40c. Some days depending on global weather conditions, Toronto can be hotter than Miami.

You need to check your geography...Quebec City is just south of 47 degrees north latitude. Oslo Norway is at 60 degrees north latitude. Stockholm Sweden is just slightly south of 60 degrees north latitude. So, no, Quebec City is not at a similar latitude as Oslo and Stockholm, it is much much much further south. In fact Quebec City is significantly further south than all of the United Kingdom. I do enjoy your post though!😊😊😊😊
