Ice is still my favorite all time player. 1h 11m? You must have found every Gervin highlight ever.
I tried my best, though I have found more Gervin highlights since I created this video.
There is no one, not ever, back then or now that could shoot the ball like ice! Layups from 10 or 15 feet out and with either hand, effortlessly, he was grace in motion truly one of a kind!
Ice was AWESOME, scores with ease, dunked it with the best…..and he put the finger in finger role. Basically Unstoppable …….thanks Ice

Although he could hit "nothing but net" (anytime he wanted) Gervin's use of the backboard is an aspect to his game that young players should take notes on.

Finally, full representative work. 10 years old and a fan in 1973 when the Dallas Chaparrals came to San Antonio then changed name to Spurs. In 1974, Gervin came to SA.
The greatest scorer in NBA history, period. A shot for every occasion. And don't forget, 52% career FG percentage. That mean 1 out of every 2 shots went in the bucket.
Lightning quick first step helped him go where he wanted!
That combined with his shooting touch made him impossible to stop in late 1970s.

The way ICE shuffles his feet on the dribble is something I hadn't noticed before. I started using this in my pickup games and it's a game changer. Thanks for putting this video together!

I followed Ice this whole career I went to the Hall of Fame with Ice May 6 1996 he used to call me his shot gun man from New York city and I look like James Silas I know Ice was the greatest scorer in the history of the game
at 49 going on 50 years old, Ice is the reason why i watch bball to this day.

January 27, 1986.
For now, I don't have the game against the Mavs, but I will try to find it.

Strange question...
No, it wasn't. But he still averaged over 14 pts per game, off the bench. Also had a couple of 40 point games that last season with Chicago. Could have easily averaged 20+ per game.
