Tenkara time baby in those creek pools. Beautiful fishies.

Could work fine. That's too limited for me though. I like the long range option when casting is called for.

wow...the colors are awesome on them Brookies! I've been to that lake as well as the other near it. Saw a momma bear and cub there too. Good stuff Amani!

Right on. It's a brutal day hike to get there but it is worth it in my opinion.

Hey Amani I think you're taking some of those resting spots for Granite. I live down near Reno and love your show!!! Tight lines always.

I missed out last year. If the lower lakes don't freeze good I might have to head up to the Carson Pass.

I think you were right that next late spring as the snow melts those brookies will beable to get into the lake.

It's going to be a long, cold, hungry Winter under the ice in that creek!

Been loving the channel, and it inspired a 2-day camping trip to Dick's Lake a couple months ago! What's your experience with the camping quota being dropped at the start of October? Does camping get crowded in October, or does it get cold enough that people stay scarce on their own?

Not sure. It's probably the cold. There was no one up there the whole day I was there. I hiked past Dicks on the way out and saw no one there either. Didn't see anyone on the trail until I ran into that guy and his daughter who were heading to Velma. Ran into those bears right after seeing them. I saw more bears than people up there!

@@wildernesswithamani1027 Thanks for the response, man! I checked the forecast for that weekend and the overnight low was 35, so the cold makes sense as the reason. Good thought on bears being extra active heading towards winter, too!

I always found a Micky Finn works well on Brookies with a small split shot to get it to the bottom. With a spinning rod I got an 18 incher at Red Lake (before it became green lake) on a yellow/black with a silver spinner Panther Martin. What trout can resist a Panther Martin?

Panther Martin has been my go to spinner since I was a teenager.

No, I worked this morning. It's super windy in Reno. Was really windy fishing for this clip up there in the mountains. I process all of my video as soon as I can when I get home. I day hiked this trip so I started when I got home processed video until about midnight, and then finished the last clip I'll post tonight when I got home from working this morning. It's a grind!
