@@yellowshopbuilds I just tried it and discovered that it also prevents the solenoids of the locks from working. However it's useful when doing something for which the door has to remain open for an extended period of time. If it gets really frustrating I might look into a solution that leaves the powered locks operable. Anyway the video was still helpful! :D
i daily a 97 gt to keep my 84 z28 and 68 cutlass in doors year round. FORD is the only car company ive ever dealt with where that annoying ass key chime doesnt shut the fuk up when the car is running. the key chime should not be on when the door is open while the car is running, im aware my keys are in the ignition... because its running... every other manufacture cancels the key chime when the door is open if the key is in the on position. im about ready to disconnect mine. annoying af. dumbass fords. hopefully mine is in the same spot
@@merdemoiii-7589 yes, i pulled the lower shroud off the column and i think i removed a wire. i cant remember which ine i did but somebody on here made a video on how to do it, so i did what the video said and it worked. the key chime doesnt do anything anymore however, if you leave the lights on with the car off, it still works, which is a good thing. look for that video by typing in sn95 key chime removal and other words like that, the dude shows step by step and it was super easy to do. took almost no time to remove that wire.
My 99 mustang has that alaming noice but just turns on out the blue when I'm driving. I think is like a im running out of gas indicater but I be having half a tank . Those anyone know what it is ?
Thanks for the info!!! My 03 would not stop dinging, even with the door shut. This fixed it!!!
04 mustang it did stop the door chime but it also stopped my dome lights and lock/unlock switches this is not a viable solution for me.
I love that light.
Omg thank you so much I have been looking everywhere to figure this out it's been so annoying and it was so simple lol
I know right lol
It worked for me i just went to the drive in. You can also disconnect the seat belt alarm while watching the movies. ☺
Thank you so much man!! I was getting crazy 🥴🥴🥴
hmmm, tried it on my 01, yes the key chime stopped, but so did the power windows, power locks, etc.........
Weird
And? Where is it by the 1995 Mustang?
That's amazingly simple, I'm gonna give it a try. Is it OK if I use a handheld flashlight though?
I guess that's okay 😆
