    It's not a kit car, it's a replica, there's a difference. The kit didn't "come from" anywhere. All that paperwork y'all found? Notebooks he had the dimensions written down in? The man who built it researched what each panels Dimensions were, then hand fabricated it. That is a custom, one-off, bespoke REPLICA of a Countach.

      I really was trying to find the lexicon to explain it and you just nailed it. It is indeed a replica, not a kit. Thank you!

    If that roof scoop was made to emulate the side intakes, then it would look good, but having that rounded, pro street style scoop on the Bonnet, looks terrible. You are correct, it has to go.

    The fitment you see Between the Wheels, tires, wheel well size, and the size of the vehicle, that gives it that Hot Wheels look, is very much in style right now. Even if you don't keep those specific Wheels, you should probably keep that fitment. I would highly suggest keeping those rims, getting them refinished (maybe in the factory ceramic gray), and then getting Lamborghini center caps. That way you can maintain the popular Hot Wheels car look, while retaining the appearance of having Lamborghini factory rims on it.

    With Corvette wheels, and corvette brakes, it is highly likely that there is a C4 Corvette front end suspension, as well. Using C4 Corvette front ends, and Rears, is actually quite common in kit cars of the 1980s, and early 90s. Although that body is not a kid, I could not tell you for sure if the frame is or not. Either way, whether it be bespoke or a kit, it is highly likely that that is a C4 front end under there.

    Mercedes AMG V12 is the perfect motor to complete the restoration. Superior motor and more reliable than a Lambo V12

    • @ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety
      @ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. An M275 would be nice in that car and for the literal same horsepower and set-up a cheap M137 could do the job. I doubt he's going that route though. The Lambo V12 BTW, having worked on them, is a very reliable engine.

    Turning that thing into a damn arcade machine would be an effing tragedy, A Car guy sin, that would land you in car guy hell. Someone put Blood Sweat and Tears, and years of their life, into building that thing into a replica, a tribute to one of the greatest supercars ever made. That thing must be built into a bespoke Countach replica, or you're going to Car Guy hell.

    Racing sim might be good if he has a place to put it but making it into a real car is even more fun but a lot more work

    I know a ton about the Countach and Corvettes, and that is what that car looks like, an amalgamation of those two vehicles, both of which I'm highly knowledgeable about. If you have any questions, just respond to this message, I'll see the notification that you replied to me, and I will answer the question. I would be happy to help.

    In the right hands that think become a jewel. Find a reputable customs garage, who would be interested in completing it, and sell it to them. Let pros turn that into the bespoke supercar it was meant to be...

      @@InTheShop it’s pretty open, but most use an LS motor and G60 Porsche transmission. I’m pretty sure you could pick up a real 12 or 10 and fit it in there, but you’d need to find the transmission.
