@@viperboi1189 Techically it is V12 Vantage because there is no DB9 there but either way they use the same 5.9L V12. Also weirdly the Diablo on PS3/Xbox 360 uses this sound as well while the Miura SV uses a Diablo sound.
@@HeroManNick132 hey how do i access the files and convert the sounds to mp3, can you please suggest some forums or anything for converting these files.
I could listen to the Carrera GT and DB9 all day. Awesome video. You should do more car sounds from the run, like the Veyron, 86, Some muscle cars, and maybe the huayra
The only problem is these files are named badly because of the Frostbite engine and sometimes you have to figure out which cars are using which sound. For example 0b6829b6e1254a3bbfe4a5f308bc3910 is the Aston Martin One-77's sound which for some reason it uses the NFS UG2's Ferrari 360 sound but slightly different.
@@HeroManNick132 holy crap FORREAL? So the sound file names for most cars in The Run are mostly just numbers and letters mushed together? Damn. Then making this video must've been a pain for this man
@@yaboix4534 Well, I think if we get 1.6.0 of Frosty Editor (and this game's SDK finally gets added) these sounds will be better sorted. And from Toshiya he told me that the Frostbite puts a weird tag on these TMX sounds when you extract them. And somehow these modders did it after 10 years which is impressive but the most mindblowing thing is how these sounds are not in GIN like NFS Rivals - Heat but in TMX.
@@yaboix4534 Update. I know I'm late but the Huayra uses quite strange combo. It uses mercedes_sl65_v12_nfs12 for engine (mer_sl65_d_eng) and porsche_911_gt3_cupcar_nfs12 (a.k.a. Porsche 911 GT2 993's exhaust sound). Same sound is shared between the Tier 6 Binary Porsche 918 RSR Concept. The AE86 uses slightly different version of toy_ae86_c pretty much. And the Veyron uses Mercedes_CL65_2006_nfs12 for the engine and exhaust.
Wow thts impressive🔥 also could u do a VLTED video tutorial for porting NFS World sounds to Prostreet? I’m sure I’m following all the steps but it always results in no sound.
Actually I just figured out how to port them! your “TMX sounds to Most wanted and Carbon” video helped a lot. Didn’t know you were supposed to access the sound/engine files in the actual game folders instead of VLTED lol.
Yeah i love how viceral The Run is....its just most intense racing game i have ever played. Loved how.hars it was to build.and keep up speed - making you work for it.
The GT3 and Carrera GT are pure eargasm The DB9 sounds fuckin proper in both versions ngl The Subie made my eardrums despawn but hey I'm not complaning And the Supra sounds seem to have been recycled from PS and edited for TR. If it really is the case it's pretty amusing to hear it back in PS again Also can finally hear these sounds wo the shitty The Run compression and/or reverb or whatever the hell it may be. The way sounds were played back in that game has always bugged me. It's got nothing on Flatout Ultimate Carnage shitty sounds-wise, though, where they didn't even come from the car lol, instead coming from the ears but never from the center, all the while having ruined compression as well. It's always cracked me up how everything had surround sound except your car, which sounded like an awful mono recording of someone farting through a pipe. The Run was much more bearable, at least having proper sound node positioning, but still shitty and did crap for justice to the sound files themselves by how they were played. This video goes to show that the game's sounds are actually crisp asf and sound amazing when put through a proper sound system, as I expected Big up ProStreet
I think the Frostbite does something to the "processing" of the sounds like the Mazda RX-7 uses like maz_rx7_c and when you extract it sounds so good but in the game sounds so crappy. Also in fact that this is the only NFS on Frostbite that uses TMX format and the Frostbite seems really "compress" the sounds so much especially the RX-7 sound which is supposed to be probably the most high pitched one but it sounds so damn compressed. Heck even for the AE86 seems Black Box had to tone down the toy_ae86_c. Same goes for the R8 or the Lexus LFA which for some reason in the low RPMs use the lam_galla_b acceleration. Seems using GIN files on Frostbite work perfectly fine but the TMX - not really unfortunatelly. Now I think I understand why the Ghost's GIN files sound way quieter than the Black Box ones - all the problems seems come from the Frostbite Engine.
@@HeroManNick132 Interesting insight. Which is why I can't believe they didn't notice how awful the sounds worked and never experimented with different formats. Literally no excuse, even being rushed by EA. The sounds were always there, and not fixing them up for a dedicated car game is a pisstake. Heat's sounds seem to be alright, if a bit quiet like you said, and seeing as BB was already pretty familiar with GIN's to say the least it's funny how they didn't try it in The Run. Great game ruined by garbage sounds which aren't actually garbage upon closer inspection smh
@@DrMogilus For long time me and Toshiya thought they were in GIN because we couldn't imagine how they will work in TMX but I guess we were wrong. I mean most of the NFS The Run sounds are from NFS World either way and we should expected that. Some sounds are alright but some are really bad and distorted which is sad. But 1 stupid thing is when you extract these sounds they have a weird tag from sorta like: *0e8093354c1ade5cd479ee90b0aac09e* is you can't tell which car is using it when even the SDK for NFS The Run isn't ready for Frosty Editor. But somehow 379Felipe and others who are working on NFS TR managed to extract them. And yeah the biggest con of the TMX format is compared to the GIN is being more compressed but the pro is you have better detail in the low RPM range than the GIN files as in the Toshiya video from like an year ago. But hey there is no flawless sound format either way. Some sound formats are better in something than others and vise-versa. I think there is another factor that the NFS The Run are being worse processed is because of they feel like they accelerate slower compared to the previous NFS don't you think? I feel like most of the time when you accelerate the car doesn't rev as high it should do and the sound is kinda struggling to keep up.
@@HeroManNick132 Yeah, I'm surprised myself how they're in TMX. Also, even considering there is no flawless sound format, which is only natural, there is nothing preventing one from experimenting. If the fans can figure it out then surely the developers can. Somehow, they didn't give a damn about how it all sounded in the end. And this weird tag thing reminds me of some other game, can't remember which one exactly. Whatever it may be, that's great info you got there. I didn't know lower rpms sounded better in TMX.
@@DrMogilus I don't know if the sounds were intended to be like that because I found some video about the car sounds during the development (for some reason I can't find it) but I think during *Making of The Run* and they showed only the Nissan GTR SpecV sound and strangely it sounded more alive and natural compared to the final. I'm not sure what they've done to some of the sounds. But surprisingly there are some new sounds like the V12 Vantage one or the Supra (when I listened to it, it sounded like a different less aggressive version of one of their recorded sounds from of Craig's Supra sounds). But surprisingly the mit_eclip_c seems it got fixed there at least. And yeah as you know the TMX has 2 separated files for slow and strong acceleration which gives a better detail than the GIN sound. The GIN sounds in low RPM sounds either like 1 sound or 2 sounds playing and the same time and you can hear the detail better.
It is funny how most of them are technically from NFS HP 2010, because Black Box since NFS World loved to borrow sounds from Criterion. But of course they changed them slightly a bit because they had to converted the GIN sounds into TMX. The Carrera GT sound is one of an example of their borrowing.
Only the names are issues because they have a weird that but if you know which cars are using it will be fine. Also many NFS World sounds are still used there.
What exactly do you have to do to import the tmx files properly into the game?, because I tried replacing by just pasting the The Run Carrera GT sound into the PS Carrera GT sound and the sound is off.
the run's tmx's won't work in prostreet because the tmx structure was changed for some reason. The way you can get it to work is to use tmxtool to extract the sounds and the encode it again with tmxtool which will then work in prostreet
