I've said a few times that I think rdr3 needs to tell dutches story and the early years in the gang. Especially since rdr1 went into the 1900s so to keep it an old west game they'd need to go back in time again like they did with number 2. I always thought a young Dutch would be a good main character protagonist.
Matthew Curtis and the epilogue could go way in the future to jack as a cowboy and Sadie and Charles finding him after hearing about the news of Johns death those years later after Edgar Ross died

Dunno if it's been mentioned but with Molly, it's pretty clear that she bought into the romantic idea of the America of endless possibility and left her family, later regretting her decision - at some point in Shady Bell, she leaves a quite beautiful poem on the nightstand in the room she shares with Dutch, personifying America in a way that conflates it with Dutch and making it clear she feels the same about both the country and the man.
I found it very intresting how dutches entire personality changes after the trolly incident. It seems to me that it had an extremly dramatic change and how he never acts the same after as well.
Even though red dead 2 has only been out for a year I already wonder what rdr3 will be like I feel we should abandon the entire map we know and and stick with Dutch's gang with the game ending where they live in the wilderness and peaceful meaning you have the camp and the people in it and it allows for more protagonists and people and places referenced in rdr2 like deer Creek saloon and Mac and Davey this could lead to a better story and more diversity with places and towns with a giant map the size of rdr2 with Mexico added on and maybe more
The game could also take place in a timespan of 2-4 years each year or half year being a chapter to show major changes such as joining of new members and major success in many different heist showing major changes for the gang and story moving from one place to another far away I doubt this would happen but would be cool
Colm despite shrugging the fact about his brother, it's actually seems to be quite disturbed about the lost of his brother. Colm seems to be quite a different person from his usual facade. He wrote a Letter to his brother Tom about wanting to be executed for his crimes. And also he seems to have secretly left behind his eating knife, so that it can be used by captured Arthur to escape. Colm… He seems to be a case of Facade / Tatemae and True Voice / Honne. He wants something, but in the same time due his status as the leader of a violent gang, he is unable to get it. He wants to help Arthur escape, but in the same time, he must stay true to the character of the violent leader of Arthur's enemy gang. Colm's letter to Tom seems to be about his wish to be executed, but Colm knew his gang wouldn't let him be executed. Colm also seemed to have a Secret Love Affair with Saddie Adler, the disloyal and loud-mouthed woman he talked about in his letter.

They should make a rdr3 for a prequel to rdr2 where it shows every single thing ever said on wikipedia of the gangs background and backstory of the Van Der Linde gang starting with Hosea and Dutch metting, the birth of the Van Der Linde gang, along with Dutch once dating Susan Grimshaw,never seen gang members with Copper showing up and how he sadly died,missions of the heists they did and Dutch breaking the gangs truce by killing Colms brother and Colm capturing and killing Annabelle along with maybe showing Kieran in a one or two cutscenes since he knew about Annabelles death but not being involved in it, Hosea running away with Bessie then with Bessie sadly dying later on ,all the heists, the unknown traitor of the gang Arthur talked about with Tilly, with the tratior being captured and murdered at camp, and all the new gang members showing up how they joined the gang,the start of Dutchs relationship with Molly,and should end with the Blackwater massacre showing the gang fleeing to the Grizzlies and showing Mac and Jenny dying but not Davey since his death was shown in rdr2 with possibly a epilogue, and also they shoulde show Arthurs first horse and what happened to it. Let me know if I'm missing anything that was mentioned or could be mentioned on the gangs background. EDIT 1: There should be a rdr4 showing Jack's life after the rdr1 epilogue and him being the protagonist with him being like John and Arthur being a gunslinging outlaw that is wanted dead or alive with possibly the surviving gang members showing up and maybe Jack having a family living on Beechers Hope along with what happened to Rufus and maybe Cain which we sadly pretty much know what happens to him but maybe just in case,and along with the unknown dead sister he had and who she was, like what her name was for example and showing her as well and last but not least Archer Fordham being the main antagonist and will take Edgar Ross's place after he was killed by Jack which would be like the starting point for which rdr4 starts like how John killed Micah which was the starting point for rdr1 and with Archer Fordham being the final Pinkerton leader until he dies and with him doing what Edgar Ross and him doing all these things to Jack like how they did to John in rdr1. EDIT 2: Or the rdr4 I was talking about could be the epilogue for rdr3 possibly being set 20-35 years after the events of rdr3.
If there's a Romeo and Juliet story. It's possible Colm's brother and Annabelle were attracted to each other. Either both of them died like in the R&J story, or they both left their gangs and were never heard again, causing both Colm and Dutch to lost contact with them. Try imagining them as Romeo and Juliet when Colm and Dutch were talking to each other.

It's amazing how much Dutch and his gang are cut from the same cloth as Robin Hood and his gang, the story is just how it all fell apart. I imagine Arthur is Dutch's Lil John, the one that help maintain the gang and lead the others in opportunities when Dutch was busy, and his death is more of an impact then before because maybe this happened to Robin's gang and Lil John died similarly to Arthur. So if RDR3 does take place during the gang's highpoint, then I'd imagine the similarities even more.
I think that Rockstar releasing the rest of the story means that we won’t ever get a third game. They can’t go forward in time because everyone is dead. They can’t go backwards because they just gave away the whole story...very sad for huge fans of the series such as myself

This is wrong and here is proof: I forgot what mission it was but in the beginning of a mission Dutch says his father started the gang and then when Dutch was born he was raised to be a gunner but then soon after when Dutch was in his 20’s Dutch’s father was shot trying to get land for a camp, Dutch then recruited Hosea after they met at a bar and THEN the Van Der Linde Gang was born.
@2:11 Kettering, Ohio didn't exist until the 1950's. Obviously the land was there but it was never named Kettering until 50+ years after Arthur's death. The man the city is named for wasn't even born until 1876.
What if the red dead series is a trilogy about dutch. Like the first two games are about the people dutch made good men before he lost his mind. And it's basically going backwards. In red dead 3 we play as dutch as a young man when Arthur and John are young. And we get to see why they followed him the way they did. And Throughout the game we can meet different characters. maybe by the end of the game the gang is filled out with all the main members. I don't wanna see red dead go forwards from the end of the first one I wanna see em go back from the beginning of the second.

@2:11 Kettering, Ohio didn't exist until the 1950's. Obviously the land was there but it was never named Kettering until 50+ years after Arthur's death. The man the city is named for wasn't even born until 1876.

What if the red dead series is a trilogy about dutch. Like the first two games are about the people dutch made good men before he lost his mind. And it's basically going backwards. In red dead 3 we play as dutch as a young man when Arthur and John are young. And we get to see why they followed him the way they did. And Throughout the game we can meet different characters. maybe by the end of the game the gang is filled out with all the main members. I don't wanna see red dead go forwards from the end of the first one I wanna see em go back from the beginning of the second.

I beat the game within two weeks then uninstalled lol. Campaign is the only thing fun about the game.
