This is the second time I see you and I’d like to follow you but don’t know how to find you. Today you mentioned to follow you and info is below, but nothing is below. I’ll wait and before you finish you might see to post your mail, or whatever you have so students can see you.
ive been coming back to this video every couple weeks in hopes illl be able to cast and finish one of my projects and time has finally come! I have some wood finishing wax thats clear(ish), do you know what kind of pigments i can use to colour it? awesome video as always.
That's great to hear! You can do it. Any dry pigment can be used to tint the wax. Do some test first to be certain that the amount of pigment added doesn't completely remove the translucency of the wax, which is a nice feature of it that you'd probably like to retain. Be careful with what pigments you use as some are toxic. Any art store worth their salt should be able to help you with finding the right pigments to use. Earth pigments are usually pretty harmless, it's the reds and yellows that sometimes are bad for you.
Dear Erik, so if hydro resin isn't the real synthetic casting resin, which one would be an example of such? Loving your work and your videos, keep them up!!
Polyurethane, urethane and epoxy resins are more commonly referred to as casting resins. So while Hydro-Resin is called a resin it's not what most people think of when they think of resin.
excellent work
Thank you!

What happens to the hole where the armature wire on the head sticks out? When does it get filled out?
After the cast is made I retouch the seam and the hole is filled at that point.
Very nice!
Thank you!

Do you use thixotropic for the Jesmonite?
No, but I could and it would ve helpful! I just didn’t have any. I just mixed more powder into the mix for a thicker mix.
Can you tell me the name of silicone and the resins as well thank you for your video
