    Honestly I think it's great when you talk more. Your voice is very calm, and you have great advice to give that I think even artists using other mediums can take value from. Often any artist is too obsessed with perfection and it can be so harmful. This viseo was genuinely so nice and helpful.

    I fell in love with your channel. So proud of you for finishing your very first resin! Looks amazing! Btw your voice is so calming I could just fall asleep listening to you talk lol

    What a great video. I love what you said about perfection especially 👏

    It’s amazing how well you do this! You don’t get enough credit for how amazing these are and you inspired me to sculpt my own model horse, it’s almost done, just legs and hair remaining! I want to put mine in resin too, which is perfect because my family is getting into resin now! You should finish the one you started, it looks great. I love your videos and just subscribed! I’d also love to see you sculpt more models from scratch! I’ve watched this video over and over and love it all! You are very funny (in a good way) and your voice is beautiful. I’ll be watching more future videos! ❤

      Eeeeeeee, I’m so happy to hear you’ve started sculpting!! And that’s perfect your family is getting into resin as well: I think I sense a bright sculpting future for you. And thank you! 🥰 Rae certainly opened up a world of sculpture for me and I’m sure she won’t be my last scratch built

    Congrats! I like how chill you are about the process. Perfection is my biggest obstacle and your approach gives me hope of one day finishing a horse sculpt. Looking forward to seeing your painted copies!

    I can imagine there is more challenge left on the cutting room floor as you worked your way through this process?! Your creation is gorgeous!

      Awww, thank you so much! 🥹 And yes, this 7 minute video highlights what was a little over a year of work (more if you count all the failed attempts of my youth I needed to make to get to making Rae 😅)

    Thank you for posting your process. I stumbled on your videos a week or so back and it reignited my desire to do my own horse sculpture ive been putting off for 2 decades. I put 4 hours into one last night and while unintentional it looks like a mix of body and personality of all of my horses.
    For my first attempt at sculpting ever Im super proud of it. My biggest mistake was too much tinfoil in the areas I needed to be daintier so I ended up with a draft cross when adding the clay lol.
    I used apoxy sculpt. Im not sure if it was from one of your videos or another. But thank you none the less!

      Awwwwww, I’m so happy to hear this 🥹 Yay for an awesome sculpting session! Sounds like you’ve unlocked a new chapter of creativity. A draft-cross was an excellent solution (plus I always love seeing more draft type horses in the world).

      Aww, thank you 🥹🥰 Maybe someday they’ll reach more people. For now I’m just happy to share my hobby adventures and have a little fun with the filming process.

    What a lovely little horse! Can't wait to see you paint the copies made of her. I just adore her sweet face!
    I don't know if you feel she's good enough to sell any casts of in the future, but know you've got at least one person out there who would gladly buy one :)

    I can't believe how detailed the face is on this scale!
    Like I can't even do something like that on a Traditional scale :'D
    Also I think your first sculpter is adorable!

    I have done a 1/6 model like this only laying down and some details are missing so I can custom them better :) (the mould took 10 litres of silicone !)

    • @CreativeKristenTaylor
      @CreativeKristenTaylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, wow, that’s a lot of silicone! Happy to hear you tried mold making a 1/6 horse. I’d love to see people make more in that scale

      Aww, I’m happy to hear you love her! 🥰 I don’t know at this time, as I’m still very much in the learning stage of mold making and resin casting 😅

    this might sound like a dumb question but where can you find the mold pieces to make your own horse? I wanted to do this but don't know here to look sorry if it sounds dumb.

    • @CreativeKristenTaylor
      @CreativeKristenTaylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a dumb question at all! I’m using Smooth-On products and I bought mine at my local Reynolds Advanced Materials, but you can also order those shipped directly from Smooth-On. Other places to find or order similar products are Tap Plastics, Brick In the Yard Mold Supply, Amazon, and Alumilite (your local Walmart, Hobby Lobby or Micheals craft store might have some Alumilite products as well).

      @@CreativeKristenTaylor alright I will try those i was going to ask you that as well i am planning on purchasing a blank resin model then getting that stuff you got to put around him like you did with the blank model but I wanted to talk to you first because since I never dome this etc... but I would love to make my own customs or resins to paint. I just dont know if I need a mold a d other stuff and I feel pretty silly asking because I dont want to waist the person time etc... I hope.im making sense. Thank you also for replying back i really appreciate it. :)

    • @CreativeKristenTaylor
      @CreativeKristenTaylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is this blank resin you’re hoping to make copies from a resin you sculpted yourself? If it was sculpted by another person, I would highly urge you to reach out to that other person first and ask if it’s okey to make a mold from their work, as many artists don’t allow reproduction of their work without permission (and some may say no to any reproduction at all, which is why it’s all the more important to ask first).

    • @ellidowen1685

      @@CreativeKristenTaylor sorry for the late reply she actually told me that it still needs some work done but she disnt have time that's why shes selling it because of so many horses I told her I could do it etc... it was just an idea because I didnt want to mess up the model so that is why I'm asking if i can get this mold and kit stuff if they have the model shape so I can make my own. I hope I'm making sense.
