- One of Scriabin's most popular works and a monumental early work that captures power, passion and a drive to insanity. The piece still has a clear center and is highly inspired by Chopin, unlike the later works of Scriabin which develops into more advanced tonalities and mysticism. This is my interpretation of the piece performed live at a recent piano competition.

You did great! Is this a Steinway grand? The bass register sucks. I wish you were on a better piano. You however did great !
yeah man it was a steinway, not the biggest fan of that piano and the keys were all sweaty from the other pianists too
@@YUYANG_music Nothing beats the clear bass tones of the Bosendofer. I had the luxury of practicing on a 20 ft concert grand Bosendofer in college. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY heard that piano all throughout the building. 😅

@@sethjeppson5680 I believe it was said to be a 20 foot concert grand Bosendofer. It was generally only pulled out from its locked cage for major student recitals and for visiting orchestra concert performances featuring the piano. Fortunately though, I had the respect of the music department to have permission to use it whenever I wanted to. That piano made me a better pianist purely due to wanting to practice on it as much as possible for hours daily... and nightly when I could get into the building. 😄
