At 50% more cost, i wouldn't say you're getting 50% a better television. I feel that for most people, the U7N makes the most sense for what it offers in its price range.
Just got my 85" U8N all setup and updated. Just trying to muster the confidence to lift it onto my stand (3ft off the ground). Tv looks gorgeous though. Definitely want to calibrate it once its in place. Great vid. Thanks!
Hey great video guys! I just ordered N7 from Costco for $900 and with a 5 year warranty include in the price. That was a no brainer. Can't wait for it. I also compared the two and found for this price not too much of a difference. Both awesome TVs for the buck. Thank again for the awesome video. Have a great Thanksgiving to all. 👍👍👍
We don’t have prices like that in Canada. Best prices in Canada are as follows. U7=$1130 taxes in and U8=$1470 taxes in. I just ordered the U7, I still feel like it’s a better deal
@@NewStuffTV1 cool. Cause I'm trying to think of which soundbar to go with my U8K 55" i've been looking at a soundbar with just a sub, but it's kinda hard to find one that is good with dialogue music and movie
@@NewStuffTV1 Seems to occur on my U7N every 15 minutes or so. It's as if the HDMI cable was unplugged and plugged back in very quickly. Seems to be HDMI related as it did not occur when using the built-in TH-cam app. It works perfectly until it doesn't makes cable less likely but I'll get a new cable anyway. If you have any ideas please let me know!
I'm happy with my 65" U8N. Believe it or not, I upgraded from an almost 10 y/o Insignia LED 1080p TV. That was amazing on its own (oh, how naive i was). I'm FLOORED by the quality of the picture AND the audio. Wish it supported Miracast for Samsung Dex. Also: for those who have been having a "flash or single flicker" issue with the U8N, try turning off "Motion Clearness" in the Clarity settings. Seems like that's maybe only good for watching sports on Live TV. I was going crazy thinking I had a defective unit.
If It's ever possible in 2025 there needs to be a video comparing the U8N comparing a U8N versus a QM7. I requested one from rtings since they have both. If you have a choice on a U8N to QM7 for a 55" size. What do you think is better? I have the U8N. Like on the Rtings comments you have TCL fan boys that can't take it Hisense has a top notch picture quality but with the U87 it's a close match. The QM8 is very good also but not made in a 55" size. It's made my buying decision super easy.
Nice video. Im an oled guy, but i want to buy the u8n 85" because of the size and price. Once im an oled guy will i have a huge step down if i get the u8n or will i have something worse but in some level close to an oled?
Thanks for watching! I think the U8N is a big step down from OLED even though it's a great TV. To get a little closer to OLED, you may want to look at the Bravia X90L in order to stay close to your budget.
@NewStuffTV1 thank you for you honesty. So ill spend more and take a smaller 77" oled. I wanted a huge, but i prefer picture over size. Thank you very much
I bought a hisense tv and a few months later it started having problems. The red light at the bottom came on. If plugged in it would turn on by itself. And the soundboard started to mess up. I had a Sony tv I bought in 2009 and it never had any issues. Hisense tv's are cheap for a reason. I wouldn't purchase a hisense television again that's for sure.
There's one thing I will say about the U8 series. If you watch Disney plus Star Wars, the Book of Boba fett, there are a lot of dark scenes in that show.
@NewStuffTV1 you can try it, my settings. In picture mode, general default is Dolby Vision IQ auto picture mode set to on and ambient light off brightness, local dimming to high and peak brightness high and brightness to 100% dark detail off, active contrast high for color it's Warm 1 clarity, sharpness is set to 25 smooth gradient off. Super resolution on. Noise reduction low. MPEG noise reduction low. Motion enhancement standard. That's my picture setting for Disney plus
@@NewStuffTV1 the processing is a little different. It will flicker from time to time, but it does keep the dark dark. Since you have the U8K, you have the U8N it definitely is not like the Sony processing, but it's almost close to it.
I really enjoy your videos, you seem like a reqular guy with a good sense of humor, you too wilson! I am concerned about brightness. Can you turn that down on these tv's?
Thanks for watching! Yes, you can always turn down the brightness on these TVs. The advantage is that even when you turn it down, you'll still be able to see good highlights and contrast because the capability is built into the TV.
Have to correct you, the U8N 65in does not have 3000 nits. Hisense Company has corrected this false information, has only up to 1600 nits. This came from a court hearing of false advertising.
With just a simple google search , you would see this statement is false . Stop making false allegations like this and misleading people you dumb fuck , Hisense does have a bug with some of its tv’s that caused it to be dimmer, which can be fixed by unplugging and plugging it back in.
Thanks for messing up your home for the viewers... appreciate it! My wife is all about the Hobby Lobby/ Home Goods decor, so your fam is doing it right haha.
I will say, I was in the market for a 75" specifically so I pulled the trigger on the U7N. Really can't beat the tech at $899.99 now for Black Friday. Couldn't Justify the difference based on how much TV I watch.
Keep up these cool tv reviews, God loves you man, Heaven is real (the only Way is Jesus) and Jesus will come back very soon cuz we living in the end times, thanks for the video!!!
Lol camera man defaulted to speak u8n every minute😂..don't push hard on few differences..make a honest last comment as if you can afford go for extra $200 else the other model is still great..

Not everything is based on the picture alone the U8N also has better speakers with a subwoofer. Also the U8N has a 2 year Warranty.
@@scottivlow9962 U7N has a 2 year warranty also
Buy it then
@@johnb9624 I did I'm in my 2nd week of ownership. At $600 with my local tax at my price couldn't pass it up.

I'm getting a refund from BB for my S90C cause of burn in. Debating going for Oled again or a U8N
