I told him that we can go grocery shopping later and I'll cook what he wants to eat. He told me that i'm a much better cook than his mom. I told him to never, ever say that ever again. Mom comes pick him up. Noticed that the money was intact. Our families are still good friends 'till this very day.
That kid would instantly be sent with a police officer and Entitled mom could get him there. That's a liability waiting to happen if he hurt someone. Edit: They didn't have an emergency contact in case of emergency. No paperwork on Allergies either.

I am autistic too and I have all sorts of stories on individuals who act like we have no feelings or that we must be stupid and all that (like someone who claimed autism was her passion only to later accuse me of posting something inappropriate which did not happen and claimed I didn't understand and I told the individual I was gonna block her and I did), and I also remember someone who is mom of an autistic individual and knew I am autistic myself, decided to ask me to take her address off the e-mail list after a mass e-mail I sent out that no one else in the list ever complained about and I responded back telling her I would remove her and block her (she didn't even use Facebook for a long time but when I did finally see her on there, I blocked her immediately). Oh yeah I think CPS should've been called regarding that that entitled mother did, considering the child probably learned bad behavior from the mother (and I have known of individuals who have learned bad behavior from their own parents, regardless of whether or not said child does or doesn't have any disability). Of course I liked the fact an autistic kid practically owned another entitled parent by informing said entitled parents she was behaving like an immature child cause this autistic kid was right, and I know in my younger years, I would have been able to spot if someone is immature. Let me take you back to the year 2002 I was with my ex who happened to have epilepsy. One day we were somewhere out in public and she had a seizure and it's entitled Karen literally came up to me and said what did I even bring her out for? And then further went on to state that people like that shouldn't be allowed out of their homes so it's not really unusual to run across somebody like this some people just consider themselves so much better than everyone else

I can relate with that beach story as I'm also an Autistic 24 year old that wanted to be treated normal but end up getting top 10 of my high-school graduation Score and got recommendations around my area in the usa for college degrees see all the bullies faces and the teachers that dislike me due to my needs was great and what made it best was the principle which loved my creativity made me the one to give the graduation speech cause he believed I made the biggest improvement and I now have 3 art pieces around the school from giant origami in the library to a 3d dnd paper right in the principle office and I'm now in Queensland university
Story 1: Good grief, what a terrible person. Listening, even just slightly goes a long way. Im unsure if this takes place in Korea or not, but this whole thing is just nuts. If i were this volunteer organization, i would've made sure to blacklist this mother. What a vile person... along with her bratty kid. I still am gobsmacked on how many of these Karen's dont realize that there are cameras pretty much everywhere nowadays and think they can somehow get away with the attitude of "ill call the cop and sue". Story 3: Never ever undervalue yourself. The OP isnt a jerk, but can almost be seen as an unfortunate doormat. The SIL didnt respect the OP or her boundaries at all, and pretty much low-balled her in costs. I can understand wanting to give low income families a bit of a break and help out where you can, but you're obviously going to get people who are going to try and take full advantage of you, and thats pretty much what the SIL did here. Story 4: I'll agree that this story does sound a bit one-sided, but i think that there is a chance that the girls mother is talking in her ear a lot too if she is going back to her mom that often. The girl could be extra homesick, or the mom could be wanting or demanding her be home as often as possible.... its tough to say. Story 5: I honestly think all are jerks here.... but to what degree? She seems like a total uptight princess, he seems a bit insensitive in some cases, and her parents are snooty rich people with unreasonable standards. Third Story: Man that is so weird. When me and my wife were engaged, she was also still living with her parents and we also only saw each other only on every odd weekend. We didn't even have time to fight or argue about anything, we pretty much just spent what precious little time we had together either in bed or doing other fun-stuff together (mostly in bed though). We started living together as soon as her parents allowed her to, despite me living in an absolutely tiny 14 m² apartment at the time. Of course after that we did and still do have the occasional fight/argument but it happens very rarely. Honestly don't want to imagine what his life will look like when he actually marries his fiancee and they start living together full-time. It's probably not gonna be nice. Fourth Story: No idea about the exact words that were used, but if it was worded in a way that is similar to the story, it was probably a miscommunication error. The way it was said in the story seems unsympathetic, like, "so you're sad, alright, cool, I don't really give a shit tho tbh so please go find someone else to talk to about this" which, you know, is just not a nice thing to say. In comparison with the dog thing that was brought up, that one sounds much nicer, it feels more like "I understand that you're sad, and I feel sorry for you. I can't really help you with this particular issue because I have no experience with it but if you think it helps, feel free to continue talking to me about it" So yeah, OP is kinda the jerk here, but probably in, like, an involuntary/accidental way (unless he actually meant it exactly as he said it, then it was fully intentional and no accident and op should feel bad about it)
I think the last story is a simple misunderstanding and no one is TAH here. I think O.P. meant they literally don't know the proper way sympathise with wife's situation because it is simply alien to him and not that he doesn't want to or that he doesn't care. I don't blame the wife for misunderstanding because O.P. worded it poorly. Even though I don't think O.P. is TAH, he should apologize for the misunderstanding and he should explain to his wife better that he is in fact sad for her (because I think he is) and he does wants to help her through it. It's just that the situation is so new to him that he is unsure of what she needs but will do his best.

I have two stories. Story 1: I am a disabled person who has leg issues from walking on my toes. I want to tell my story. I walked on my toes since I was three, and and is squished my tendons. I was in and out of casts and similar stuff. I had to be in a wheelchair during Disneyland and other stuff. I am also mentally disabled and it makes my life even harder. My mum and dad are divorced and it is very scary. My life is very challenging and hard for me to deal with, and I am still having a bunch of pain. Story 2: There’s this nice MD kids, let’s call him X. X is mentally challenged on a severe level and I rarely saw him. Normally he was lying on the floor kicking the ball with his feet giggling. But one time the poor kid was having a temper tantrum because he couldn’t have his ball. He was screaming and suddenly tried to whip his dong out. I wanted to hug the kid so bad, but I wasn’t even supposed to be in that lunch period so I’m not able to show my face. I don’t know what disability he has but I know he also has a physical one. X is amazing and I hope people with similar disabilities get to grow and live a fulfilled life.

I think OP from the last story doesn’t know relating to and understanding one’s misfortune and sympathizing with and feeling for someone’s misfortune are two very different things you can sympathize with someone even if you are in no position to fully understand what it feels like to experience what they are experiencing. Step-aunt: " I'M GOING TO FORCE YOUR MOTHER TO TAKE MY BUTTSKY WITH YOU!" My mother: If my son doesn't want to take your son than that's his decision. Why don't you take that spoiled brat yourself?" Step-aunt: "I'll just have my son follow you from here to Toronto." Me: Go ahead. I'm not leaving from here. I'm heading to my grandparents this weekend and then I'll be heading from Toronto from there. Step-aunt: "YOU'RE A ROTTEN BASTARD! DENYING A SWEET CHILD SOMETHING HE WANTS! Me: "What sweet child? I just see a spoiled little brat and a delusional old cow." I went to the convention and had a great time.

I am autistic too and I have all sorts of stories on individuals who act like we have no feelings or that we must be stupid and all that (like someone who claimed autism was her passion only to later accuse me of posting something inappropriate which did not happen and claimed I didn't understand and I told the individual I was gonna block her and I did), and I also remember someone who is mom of an autistic individual and knew I am autistic myself, decided to ask me to take her address off the e-mail list after a mass e-mail I sent out that no one else in the list ever complained about and I responded back telling her I would remove her and block her (she didn't even use Facebook for a long time but when I did finally see her on there, I blocked her immediately).
Oh yeah I think CPS should've been called regarding that that entitled mother did, considering the child probably learned bad behavior from the mother (and I have known of individuals who have learned bad behavior from their own parents, regardless of whether or not said child does or doesn't have any disability).
Of course I liked the fact an autistic kid practically owned another entitled parent by informing said entitled parents she was behaving like an immature child cause this autistic kid was right, and I know in my younger years, I would have been able to spot if someone is immature.
Oh yeah I do remember a time when my mom and my sister who has ADHD went to the high school and were locating a certain teacher and I guess he gave a look when my sister said over here stupid to my mom, granted I was not there for this but I remember discussion about it, and yeah what my sister did to my mom was wrong but my mom was still like it's not the business of the teacher and my mom intended to make sure the teacher would be informed if he had to be informed that she will deal with her daughter and what her daughter did (as in regardless of what the teacher saw, it was between my mom and my sister and it was for my mom to deal with, and I am sure my mom did give my sister a talking to about it).

Let me take you back to the year 2002 I was with my ex who happened to have epilepsy. One day we were somewhere out in public and she had a seizure and it's entitled Karen literally came up to me and said what did I even bring her out for? And then further went on to state that people like that shouldn't be allowed out of their homes so it's not really unusual to run across somebody like this some people just consider themselves so much better than everyone else

Story 1: Good grief, what a terrible person. Listening, even just slightly goes a long way. Im unsure if this takes place in Korea or not, but this whole thing is just nuts. If i were this volunteer organization, i would've made sure to blacklist this mother. What a vile person... along with her bratty kid. I still am gobsmacked on how many of these Karen's dont realize that there are cameras pretty much everywhere nowadays and think they can somehow get away with the attitude of "ill call the cop and sue". Good thing the people gave her back the money, but i would've kept it as a "being a Karen" charge or something.
Story 2: Oh boy.... ANOTHER ONE???? I feel sorry for those volunteers and the kids they are with. I just can't understand how some of these Karen's are allowed to both exist and have children. No wonder the world is all messed up. If i were the volunteers, i would try and give the autistic kid some extra ice cream or something for the way he stood up to both the Karen and her kid, that was awesome.
Story 3: Never ever undervalue yourself. The OP isnt a jerk, but can almost be seen as an unfortunate doormat. The SIL didnt respect the OP or her boundaries at all, and pretty much low-balled her in costs. I can understand wanting to give low income families a bit of a break and help out where you can, but you're obviously going to get people who are going to try and take full advantage of you, and thats pretty much what the SIL did here.
Story 4: I'll agree that this story does sound a bit one-sided, but i think that there is a chance that the girls mother is talking in her ear a lot too if she is going back to her mom that often. The girl could be extra homesick, or the mom could be wanting or demanding her be home as often as possible.... its tough to say.
Story 5: I honestly think all are jerks here.... but to what degree? She seems like a total uptight princess, he seems a bit insensitive in some cases, and her parents are snooty rich people with unreasonable standards. This whole scenario is a no-win situation i find.

Third Story: Man that is so weird. When me and my wife were engaged, she was also still living with her parents and we also only saw each other only on every odd weekend. We didn't even have time to fight or argue about anything, we pretty much just spent what precious little time we had together either in bed or doing other fun-stuff together (mostly in bed though). We started living together as soon as her parents allowed her to, despite me living in an absolutely tiny 14 m² apartment at the time. Of course after that we did and still do have the occasional fight/argument but it happens very rarely. Honestly don't want to imagine what his life will look like when he actually marries his fiancee and they start living together full-time. It's probably not gonna be nice.
Fourth Story: No idea about the exact words that were used, but if it was worded in a way that is similar to the story, it was probably a miscommunication error. The way it was said in the story seems unsympathetic, like, "so you're sad, alright, cool, I don't really give a shit tho tbh so please go find someone else to talk to about this" which, you know, is just not a nice thing to say. In comparison with the dog thing that was brought up, that one sounds much nicer, it feels more like "I understand that you're sad, and I feel sorry for you. I can't really help you with this particular issue because I have no experience with it but if you think it helps, feel free to continue talking to me about it"
So yeah, OP is kinda the jerk here, but probably in, like, an involuntary/accidental way (unless he actually meant it exactly as he said it, then it was fully intentional and no accident and op should feel bad about it)

I think the last story is a simple misunderstanding and no one is TAH here. I think O.P. meant they literally don't know the proper way sympathise with wife's situation because it is simply alien to him and not that he doesn't want to or that he doesn't care. I don't blame the wife for misunderstanding because O.P. worded it poorly. Even though I don't think O.P. is TAH, he should apologize for the misunderstanding and he should explain to his wife better that he is in fact sad for her (because I think he is) and he does wants to help her through it. It's just that the situation is so new to him that he is unsure of what she needs but will do his best.
It was the wording which people usually make themselves sound better when they lost stories and yet he still sounded like an AH by telling her what he did. So I’m sure he made it sound even worse in person and that’s just from his pov not both.

I have two stories.
Story 1:
I am a disabled person who has leg issues from walking on my toes. I want to tell my story. I walked on my toes since I was three, and and is squished my tendons. I was in and out of casts and similar stuff. I had to be in a wheelchair during Disneyland and other stuff. I am also mentally disabled and it makes my life even harder. My mum and dad are divorced and it is very scary. My life is very challenging and hard for me to deal with, and I am still having a bunch of pain.
Story 2:
There’s this nice MD kids, let’s call him X. X is mentally challenged on a severe level and I rarely saw him. Normally he was lying on the floor kicking the ball with his feet giggling. But one time the poor kid was having a temper tantrum because he couldn’t have his ball. He was screaming and suddenly tried to whip his dong out. I wanted to hug the kid so bad, but I wasn’t even supposed to be in that lunch period so I’m not able to show my face. I don’t know what disability he has but I know he also has a physical one. X is amazing and I hope people with similar disabilities get to grow and live a fulfilled life.

I think OP from the last story doesn’t know relating to and understanding one’s misfortune and sympathizing with and feeling for someone’s misfortune are two very different things you can sympathize with someone even if you are in no position to fully understand what it feels like to experience what they are experiencing.
The way he explained ring unable to sympathize sounded more like he was explaining why he can’t fully understand what it feels like for you parents to abandon you because he never had parents to begin with but the poor delivery had him coming off like a loveless apathetic jerk!
I enjoy going to Toronto Comic-Con and FanExpo. I buy my tickets every year online (so much faster.) and book into a hotel. When my step aunt's son found out about this one convention I was going to he wanted me to take him. I said 'no'. Her son is a spoiled brat who throws a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. If he goes into your room you have to watch him because he'd steal something. When he does he puts up a fight not wanting to give back the stolen item. When I told him he couldn't go he started kicking and screaming. His bitch mother started comforting him and said: "He was just joking. He'll take you." I replied: "No I won't take him. I prefer going on my own."
