Another great video Jimmy, I reckon it should be illegal for these dealerships who clearly don’t know what they’re doing to “practice “ on customers vehicles by firing the parts cannon at them at the customers expense. They need to be watching your videos and at least learning some sort of basic diagnostics. Rant over.

I had the same issue with the 1.6 expert 2017 with 160k miles. It would only read 10mbar after a clean. It lasted a few days and clogged back up. Took the dpf off and got it machine cleaned (ash) and a few new clamps from peugeot. Pressure is bang on what it should be. Only issue after that was the configuration of the eloys tank, had to tell the diagnostic it was a berlingo. Driving perfect now apart from the fact that the new spurious (apec) rear wheel bearing still has play. Peugeot want over €400 for a genuine one.

Didn’t know anything about this eolys fluid but now I do thanks to you Jimmy. I’ve just had a look online and apparently, it’s good for about 70k miles then needs replacing. Pity Vauxhall don’t know this. If I was that customer, I’d be back there demanding they put my original unfaulty parts back on and having my money back. They need exposing. They are as ugly as scammers.
Someone who can actually use a diagnostic machine and understand it, well done jimbob , top man always.

Excellent video, Jimmy, and very helpful. The information presented here in this video is excellent. I didn't know these vans had tanks for kinds of additive, I thought is was either Adblue or Eolys but not both. Your advice about getting a van under its original brand and not a 'rebadged' version has been noted. I have learned a few things watching and listening to you. Particulate filter light on for months, car runs great 👍
Run addictive a few times, meanwhile run the car 200 plus miles a day since I owned it. Bring it in for maintenance on the brakes and mechanic says you need a new dpf look at the data.
I buy a manometer, smoke machine, live data vag scanner, voltmeter, mityvac etc.
Dpf diff. Sensor has correct voltages ,
hoses clear, 13 millbars at idle, 2 Sensor purchases and live data on the dpf sensor is zero flat line. What's the next step?
ECM?
I even bought a professional pressurized flush kit and I'm thinking 13 millbars ain't that bad compared to what I've seen 🤔
Your videos are brilliant. I had a Citreon C4 Grand Picasso last week with B1811 fault on fuel additive pump, P1434 Multiplexed additive pump fault and P1435 Can fault or Multiplexed additive pump fault. Unable to clear with launch x431. Have Citreon diagbox on VM with Citreon obd to USB cable. From here, had a new fault on additive pump saying it was empty. Cleared that and then able to clear B1811, P1434 and P1435 faults. Checked tank and was empty. Topped up with dpf fluid. Have VM with diagbox installed if you want a copy.
Jimmy you need to fix 'Marvelous Cars Mobile Mechanic's citreon van. They did a video on theirs and he doesnt have a clue whats wrong with it lol. He did a regen at the side of the road lol

In fairness. A diesel engine will only actually heat up under load. Idle will take agesssss to get warmed up. Even revving in neutral. Needs a significant load to warm which is why DPFs have issues with short journeys, traffic etc. to raise the temp you need load on the engine
That's why they use the glow plugs or a vaporizer injector to heat up the DPF.
Jimmy i find with the launch when it says its not supported just need to switch engine off an power on an it works .. Just dont have engine running ..

I suspect that Vauxhall didn't use Eolys in their diesels made by GM. Now that they are Citroen/Peugeot owned it's something else the dealers have to learn about. The owner of that van should take it back to the dealer and try get some money back for work that wasn't required. At 3k for the Adblue tank, I'd run a mile.
Mine was playing up and it turned out to be battery so sensor was not getting a consistent signal

Little tip for anyone interested… if you hold the clutch down and rev it, it will keep the revs steady at around 3k for measurement purposes…
Think this applies to most modern vehicles too.
Scanners often let you set the RPM as a value too, might be easier than holding down the pedal.
We had one at my last firm, was ok I suppose never really had an issue only that the cab is really small, if you are over 6" you wont be comfy after a while. I would rather have the Renault type Vivaro.
When these vehicles are stood still with the engine running the temperature drops lie a stone which is why its not recommended to have them running for too long while stationary.
I know your compressor is at 130 PSI but I would think that your CFM air flow volume is quiet low. If i was to connect to a compressor with a higher air volume flow then do you think i would need to dial down the PSI?
which program should i test my 2018 Vivaro.Opel/Vauxhall,Renaul Trafik or some else.I have new nox sensors but i have still fault U059E(Opel) or DTCC59E87(Trafik).if i reset faults i can start 2 times and faul comes back
I only found out about eolys tank and fluid when a customer brought his van with something leaking after he put it in a ditch 😅

acetic acid doesn't work every time. but I have the feeling that's because this DPF is internally damaged and not just ash.
Whats an eli tank do ? Or how ever you spell it. . Im not a mechanic just watch your vids since you fixed mine
I've never had work done at a garage, what happens when you are chaged £3k but they fail to fix the fault? Can you claim

I did it on my Vauxhall Vivaro 2015, the only thing I did wrong was to add all the dpf liquid at once, then the van didn't want to work and the battery 🔋 discharged, but the dpf was clean and the service light went out, and the notification of dpf disappeared from the panel and was clean, so the tip I give is, don't add all the liquid at once, add half and start the van, and then put the other half back and start the van, so this doesn't happen what happened with me. 01/12/2024

I added some to my berlingo as i do very low miles, long journeys, but few of them. Never had a problem before adding, and haven’t had a problem since adding 😂😂

Id have thought it be 3 years or 100k, that said i've had loads of trouble with Vauxhall trying to charge while it's under warranty, last time i looked Vauxhall reviews online had 85% bad reviews that says a lot

Do you have access to tech manuals for these vehicles or you just learn as you go with new vehicles. How do you know what sensors and configuration of parts they use?
Citroen/Peugeot have been using this system for nearly 20 years 😉
I work for a peugeot, citroen vauxhall dealer. I will tell you now when a new engine/system gets released. They do not teach you anything about it.
I am not justifying the people who worked on the car.
The training they provide is absolutely pants.
I have learnt more about diagnosing dpfs and diesels on your channel than the training they provide.
Diagnose dan, scanner danner, o riley autos, pine hollow, south main auto.
By watching these channels i have learnt more about diagnosing cars then they have.

I can believe it got 2 new techs that have started who came from Vauxhall the stories they tell is like a horror show there’s better equipped independent garage & mobile techs out there than the dealer they worked at.

The Euro 6 ones have so much extra guff it’s inevitable that something will bung up at some point.
A Euro 5 vehicle with a DPF that’s out on the open road regularly will give little trouble

You absolutely need better consumer protection in GB if it's possible for a garage to claim thousands of pounds for a "repair" that fixes nothing!

What exactly is the use of this tank?
Ot has a fluid eolys which is added to fuel tank each fill this causes the temperature of the exhaust to increase so the dpf can burn off the particles easier
Surely the van should still be under warranty a 21 plate

Yes, if you have seen jimmy's other videos in the past, you would have noticed that this exact model can be a toyota, peugeot partner/expert, citroen, vauxall, opel. I have the feeling this has something to do with them being in the stellantis group, but I'm not sure why toyota decided to be with them. Toyota could have just made their own reliable van without the help of the other brands who are known for having software issues, especially citroen/peugeot.
@@dizzy2020 Very interesting to hear this. I still think that they are not saving that much money in the stellantis group by using only one model, do some copy-past to then decide that another model is even cheaper and then also do some copy-past. If the story of jimmy is correct, it is really sad that even vauxhall themselves don't even know what van they have, so they just throw parts and see if that fixes it. I know that this is a old thing that dealers do but a main dealer, should at least know their own models, even though they share parts from other vehicles. About toyota: I also find that part sad. If people at least were interested in a toyota van, then this copy past business wouldn't have been possible or at least, not with toyota in that business. But now they have to just drop a badge and call it a day... . I'm interested what would happen when everyting is forced to be electric if this business will even work.
