some people made a hackrom that speeds a little his walking, making it more playable and taking hit doesnt lose powerup anymore, u may try this hackrom or play the adventure rebirth(somekind of remake) for wiiware

Dankyman100 He's trying to stay close to the traditional Konami sound design. The JP version of Castlevania 3 never used the triangle for anything.
