I remember getting stuck at the level where the wall chases you. Took me forever to figure out you could attack the screw haha. Anyway, not the best Castlevania. But this song is probably my favorite Game Boy track ever. It absolutely SLAPS!
You know, Christopher Belmont should be a safety mascot like Smokey the Bear. All those free-floating candelabras in the woods are bound to get caught up in a windstorm at some point and start a massive forest fire! He's doing the Transylvanian countryside a great service by snuffing them all out.
It's ok. Definitely not great. But... If you want the challenge it's definitely there for you. I died so many times on the stage where the wall chases you. But damn... Once I beat it I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. It's absolutely worth the struggle if you're a Castlevania fan. Stick with it, you'll get it down. And when it's all over you'll most likely think differently of the game. It's pretty good considering the hardware.
Christopher's 0,5 km/h walk, the capacity of losing upgrades when hit by an enemy, the annoying enemy placement, it all remains in the GBC port(konami gb collection vol. 1 i guess), the problems still remain, they basically just added colors to the game and put it into the collection
This music perfectly represents Mr. Belmont's slow movements.
