The way we go from relatively simple mechanisms to the Pegasus reminds me of those “How to Draw” posts that say “Step 1: Draw a Circle, Step 2: Draw the rest of the F***ing Owl”
I love your work What i feel automa is supposed to do is bring a series of marbles up one at a time and drop the marbles one by one into a bucket attached to the spring and once there is enough the marbles makes the spring rewind and releases the marbles so they continue the process essentially making perpetual motion Id like to know if you would try such a thing Thanks so much for your video
Just video I needed but didn't know I was looking for... I love how the use of the music shows an audio display of the timing of the mechanism at the end..coolest video man
Did you make the Flying Pegasus Automaton at 1:07 ? I think the way it moves is very beautiful and would love to try an create something like it as a gift. Can you explain how the counter balance works with the up and down motion? I've seen another one of these (in the reply videos) that bangs up against the top... and it's not as elegant as yours. Thanks!
Excelente trabajo, ¿puedes compartir el mecanismo del Pegazo para que lo realicen mis alumnos tanto en su clase de mecánica como en la de dibujo?, gracias
Superbe cheval (what horse!) Pourrais-je avoir des photos de toutes les faces? (Could I have pictures of all sides?) ou bien les plans! (or planes!) best regards from France
@rendered555 Two words Counterweight and resistance are why They Made the balance perfect That back gear has a everyday old-fashioned music-box core and that makes it run (note the Cranking) that makes the gear rotate and run the system (and they say people need degrees).
very nice indeed, but the house in the end is powerd by a spring of some sort thats why is just keeps going, and the reson it is going up and down is because the extra weight placed on the big cog makes the thing unbalanced and that makes it swing
john mendez This is the maltanic mechanism. Such some works in the films projektors machine, but a weel cooperates with a cross. That changes the motion continuous to motion interrupt.
Hola!! me agrado tu mecanismo del tren de engranes con el caballito. me agradaria aser uno como el tu yo esta padrisimo. me podrias pasartus planos para intentar armar el mio.
This is good. Have you seen my book Figures in the Fourth Dimension, Mechanical movement for Puppets and Automata? It is a kind of preK through post-Doc test on building mechanical movement. Ellen Rixford

The key is in the three smaller gears

@@johannnespaul4300 no? *There are no perpetual machines*
the Pegasus is truly mesmerizing, a work of art.
this is great, is there drawings/plans for these mechanics? this is superb stuff!
These are so simple they're genius. Great video and great projects. That last one is amazing!
Awesome. Very nice. I gonna try to make it.

I believe the artist who designed the Pegasus automaton was Akira Murakami.

Very cool video and very nice reference with all the different mechanism shown clearly at the beginning thank you :)
The horse is amazing.
Absolutely beautiful.. what else can i say? simply brilliant piece of art..
Allow me to ask you as well. How does the icky direction transform the comparison?
Woww, so beautiful! Do you have some course or do you know where can I find sources for learning to create this type of mecanisms? Thank you!
where can i find the plans for this masterpiece?? it's fantastic

having a lot of difficulties working out how the Pegasus works, wish there was a close up shot of this.
1:06 just amazing
Amazing..... awesome....when horse begin music my eyes have tears jajajaja

Most of these types of videos are animated. It's nice to see these creations in wood.
I like how the fourth one in shows some properties of sine and cosine waves (:
I love this stuff
omg that's amazing, and i thought they were all gonna be simple
The last mechanism is really awesome... Can you please tell how did you make that..

I find this inspiring, nice :)
that's a truly well elaborate Pegasus mechanism
Well... That was beautiful :')
where did you get all this things?
and to think you might find things like this in complex machinery!
I thougt that I was high at 0:40 to be so amazed by that mechanism but seriously this is sick!
The pegasus mech appears to be perpetual! If it is give that genius a nobel prize!
That's neato!
:D
what is the last one made of? 3d printed?
The horse device is amazing!
Nice work on pegasus, id love to have one. For me. As an adult designer.
great.work
Very nice! The pegasus was very impressive.
Heres a challenge: How to roll filament onto a spool while unwinding at the same time without accumulating wraps.
I like the horse because it seems that it is alive.
It would be great if the videos present how to make it.
Could I have the plane please? It was wonderful!!
they're all very nicely made.

Muy lindo y con música.
The cross one blew my mind. But the Pegasus was so fucking adorable.
The last one: Dream of perpetual motion

Is the last one a perpetual motion device, or does it have to be wound up?
