*Update: Seems on track to 54-131K entries. This is why I don't like sweepstakes.
This was actually interesting to know. Not enough micro centers but plenty of staples.
I don't fully trust PC stores but I fully don't trust Newegg any more lol
but will they be able to keep all of stocked up? also more limited choice vs an micro center
The whole point of Microcenter is that e.g. a 13700K is $330 in store (vs. $346 at Amazon). Meanwhile at Staples it's $410 (0:39), so why bother.
@@concinnusME WANT BIG PROCESSOR *NOW!*
I have none (both staples and micro center) in my area, I don’t even know what staples was before this video
A microcenter version of staples would be crazy
I was just thinking this about this store. It's like a MicroCenter in a Staples blanket.
How about a combination microcenter and staples?
Micron's
If staples effectively turned into an alternate Micro Center that would be fantastic! Micro Center is a great place, but there are only a couple dozen locations, in other words if you are not in a city with a Micro Center then you're basically SOL. Staples on the other hand has nearly 1000 locations.
we have two for some reason. not complaining.
I'm all for Staples competing with Best Buy and Micro Center. They are actually really well positioned to enter this market.
We def need more staples like this. Best Buy is the only store nearby me, and it doesn't have anything.
I don't even have a BestBuy. Nearest one is over 30 miles away. But we do have a crappy Staples that doesn't really sell any computer hardware anymore. They may still sell hard drives, but I don't even know if they still do.
@@JJFlores19730 miles? That’s rookie numbers nearest one to me is 400 km away. Idk what that is in the Stone Age measurement i think u divide by 1.6 but idr or care
I remember a few months ago they had 3070’s in stock but I went back and there is no gpus in sight or pc components Idk why
@@oddconstantine mines has the 4070ti nsi ventus 3x :)
to make it worse, best buy is literally gonna go outta business soon
staples needs to push this idea, this would definitely get me into the store as I have so many staples near me. I can't always drive to microcenter especially when its so far away. great jobs staples
crazy to think staples is transforming from office computers to a store that's an upgrade in progress against microcenter, being across the country in the near future
i work at Staples, and i had no idea we had a store like this. would love to see this kind of stuff rolled out to more stores!
this was very recently put in
I also work at Staples but in Canada and I would love to have those xdd
I'm not from or in the US, but I think it was a good idea to include PC building parts. I hope this idea is successful and carries onto other countries aswell!
It’s worth noting the innovation center component makes it far more difficult to complete if not impossible to accomplish in a standard staples
man I legit just felt a tear come to my eye as soon as you walked into that store. Ive been living with the rejects and the used parts I got for cheap my whole life. I LOVE building pc's. someday, I HAVE to buy all new parts and put together an actually NICE setup
This is amazing to see! I work at staples and I have personally worked in other staples stores to remodel and setup the laptop table mentioned above and the apple table that was seen for a few moments. Unfortunately they didn't have any internal pc components included like this store does. I do recall I managed to get a look at a few design concepts staples had in mind and it did include what everyone is seeing in this store with pc component availability and maybe more to come. For the future of this company, I really hope to see bigger changes like this happen to more stores in the future if they are able to "get their head out of their ass" and fix some other ideas they have rolled out like amazon returns and the selling culture they have prioritized rather than focus on providing what people would want and still be profitable! My store isn't in the biggest of cities or places but we still have people constantly come in to ask for PC components and other items. It would be a huge game changer if done right.
cool stuff. would definitely like to see more stores keeping PC hardware in stock
I've actually bought a fair amount of tech from Staples over the years. Mostly monitors and flash drives, but they're always worth a look. If they actually had gaming hardware there for competitive pricing, I may consider spending a LOT more time in the store.
Awesome video and thats honestly really cool that staples is now expanding into pc components
I never thought staples would sell seperate pc parts, this is great!
Day 8 of asking for a signed tube of thermal paste
why?
They should really carry all of these gaming PC's and parts. In the Bay area we don't have a Micro Center but we do have Staples. I hope they do this in all of their stores.
As a NorCal native it's really disappointing that the only Micro Center in the entire state is in SoCal.
Very interesting to know and way to go. I really hope other staples follow the same idea. I have a local one and having a hardware store next to me with availability on spot would be amazing! Cheers from Portugal.
Very nice video, I didnt know you made full length videos! I'm excited to see more staples rolling this out!
That case looks insane! Not only does it look amazing but it's probably really fun to build in as well.
Other than the pcie slots
It's CompUSA being reborn! Love it
It’s extremely expensive and has horrible airflow. It’s over engineered for the wrong reasons.
@@profesercreeperlian li cases truly be where the sauce is
I think it looks hideous 😅 Tastes are different haha
I worked at staples for nearly a year, the management has no idea about technology, they start their computer techs at 9$/hr and obviously no one wants to work for that, and so the stores are horribly understaffed. It seemed to be company practice to threaten your job if you didn’t come in on your days off. It’s a failing company and they know it. The management also hounded us if we did not try to trick customers into spending 200+ extra on anti virus, setup and other things that they didn’t need. All around they had horrible practices that were trained and I will never go back.
mryeester i bought your thermal paste a while ago, but never had the chance to say it. it works amazing, so thanks! love your videos, and keep up the great work!
Your reviews are always so detailed and insightful! this PC would be a dream come true to experience the quality you always speak about. Keep up the amazing work. 👍👍👍👍
I don’t know what a staples store is but it looks like a officeoworks? Absolutely amazing build👍
Staples is basically becoming micro centre now... I'm all for that! Let's hope some of that spills over our way in the UK! :D
Oh also, I'd of really liked to seen the price at the end, I am just too curious now as to how they fair to the competition.
Staples uk got brought and was renamed to office outlet, then went into administration in 2018.
wow i love watching your videos! especially your shorts! And this video was interesting to see to say the least! great editing!
I have a staples store a mile from my house. they have been slowly but surely getting more pc gaming hardware. I absolutely love the direction they are taking.
My question is did you seriously build this PC in the middle of staples?!?!
I think i might go to staples and get some "School Supplies"
Yes mom. I absolutely need this thousand dollar PC to run Google Classroom 🤣🤣
That case was beautiful! I never knew you could do something like this in a staples. Cool vid!
Staples sells electronics!!
We definitely need this for our Staples here in CT since we don’t have a micro center and one of our Best Buy stores went out of business.
Really interesting and fun as well. I can't wait to see whatever you have next.
That is one big PC! Hoping this new Staples venture takes off!
I live in Maine, and the only option for PC components is Best Buy and that is limited at best.
There are several Staples stores in my area, and if this "test" by Staples goes well.
I would defintily be excited to see this in my local store.
Insane Idea from Staples to include PC equipment and parts!! Awesome video man, look forward to the giveaway!
This is really good to know. That store is my local staples and I would’ve never known this. I usually make the 90+ minute drive to microcenter in Cambridge.
Good luck everyone. Hope it goes to someone who really needs it for work or school 🤙🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼 happy holidays
One day I will buy a PC with that performance.For now I'll rock with my GTX 1070 and i5 9th gen.Nice video.Cheers🎉
I would love that pc never had one 🕺🤟🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥keep dropping heat I’m supporting and subscribing I really appreciated the work and effort you put in this video 💯
Dang this was really interesting, and congratulations to the future winner🎉
Cool looking pc and super cool that staples is starting to include more and more pc parts
I have the same graphics card and cpu, they work very good, especially with PC-VR
This is so cool and i love the case of the pc i love the background rgb
Much love from hyannis! Great vid bro, love the mass rep
This is really cool! I can see how this will help keep staples open.
if staples had this best buy would have a competitor on the west coast. also i really like the mock desk set ups and wish best buy did something like that. honestly am looking forward to seeing if my local store gets a remodel.
Good for Staples this needs to be in all their stores I will check mine in the future.
This was unexpected even tho i live in Germany i know Staples and some other shops that you buy that kind of stuff but i really did not expect them to have gaming stuff very cool to know👍
as someone who doesn't live near *any* Micro Centers, having PC parts available at Staples would be a godsend. I have a bunch within 30 minute drive so it would be incredibly convenient
i hope this spreads through the other staples in massachusetts soon bc theres one not too far from me and i would love this so much
Coolest Staples ever. Never thought I'd be excited for such a mundane store that sells paper and ink cartridges, lol.
Best of luck to everyone for the competition
I've been to staples a few times and love their gaming chairs. They're comfortable, quiet, and suuuper affordable. might have to go pick one up along with a GPU. 👍🏼
This case looks really amazing
My parents used to go to staples for PC stuff all the time in 90s. To me this feels right. I hope this goes to all staples stores.
Its cool seeing this as a staples tech associate myself! We just started getting 4070s and 4090s! We already have the 980 ssd's! Hopefully staples will become a main choice for gaming soon!
ive watched this video 20 times now and it gets better every time
Great stuff, would love to see more stores have pc hardware.
This is such a great idea by Staples, I'm excited for my local Staples to make the same changes!
If they expand their selection and implement it in other areas, I will def shop there. Especially with Best Buy dumbing down their physical stores this would be a real cool place to visit!
I really hope they roll this out to more stores.
As a tech associate that works at Staples and also loves building PCs, this would be a dream come true. Our store just recently started selling thermal paste and the samsung nvme ssd's so it's a small step but I think it's an advancement in this direction!
Always fun watching pc builds
Dayyym I wanna go to that Staples. That looks hella cool!
Yes, I'm super down with there being more brick and mortar options/competition for quality PC components!
I used to work at a Staples few years ago and we had nothing to build a PC. During the pandemic I would frequently get people asking if we carried GPUs and what not.
Wow this is really cool, imagine that staples are moving from the office market to more of the gaming. Never would have thought that.
Just entered and did all the steps.
bro I hope I win the give away this pc is is sooooo AWSOME I have been wanting to stream but my pc isnt even a pc it's just a laptop from ancient times btw love ur videos and leanred som good tips from your videos plus they funny keep up the good work my guy love the vids.
EDIT: this is the most love I have gotten on TH-cam so far 3 likes 1 from me and 2 from others also I did everything in the entry and hint name - River
Give this kid a pc
Imagine if it had good hardware in it lol
I used to work at Office Depot (which is now merged with Staples) but I do remember there was a time when that store also put Laptops/Tablets at the front of the store.
I hope they make more stores like this. PC building should be more accessible for in person 🙏
I feel like staple is heading the right direction, no one buys office supplies from staple anymore, it’s either Amazon or Walmart if you are in a pinch, but a physical gaming store is a game changer in my opinion
neat little video and i can see Staples doing well with this idea! Canada Computers needs more competition here in Canada!
That PC looks amazing!
This is a bit off topic, but I’m still rocking hardware from early 2018 (Ryzen 5 2600X and a Radeon RX 570.) and you can still play Minecraft on it at 1000 FPS.
Just saying this hardware will be enough to last you a long time without becoming obsolete.
Would love to see this happen in Canada since we don't get Micro centers here but have lots of Staples
as a repair tech who needs parts a lot, this could really help me if implemented at my staples.
the nearest best buy is 30 mins away, but the nearest staples is 5 mins up the road. if the prices are comparable i'd go to staples for parts.
I work at Staples. Were in a small town where there isnt even a UPS store so something like this would be amazing. We dont have the PC parts yet, just some windows keys, malware defenders, PC chairs, and the Racing wheels look pretty cool. I hope they roll out soon because building a PC would be nice
Windows keys lmao!
I live right by this Staples and never knew it had pc parts! It just looks so unassuming, I thought nothing of it
I worked at staples as a tech associate nearly 10 years ago. The open floor design for laptops existed at my store back then, it's not something entirely new. From what I remember we did carry pc components, but not a lot. Pro tip - check for price matches from places like Micro Center, who often have good sales on PC parts.
This is actually crazy because believe it or not I never believe Staples had that much PC parts or PC parts at all until I was like looking for hard drives, and computer components and staples kept popping up. Then I decided to click on the link and turns out they have a lot of parts. 😂
Good luck to everyone and Early congratulations to the winner of the PC!
Yooooo this is insane! I live 15 minutes from this store and the fact that you were there is crazy!
I've always bought PC stuff at Staples. They might have more stuff now but they have always had what I need the last 20 years
Literally a best duo with the staples guy 😆
Lived in Mass my whole life. Been to Hyannis several times a year througout my my whole life as well. Never knew it was a test center for Staples.
Very interesting market segment pivot, lets see how it plays out for them
This is awesome, I love going to this store, it's a half hour from me!
Nice build. I didn't realize they let you put it together in the shop.
This is crazy I never thought staples would carry stuff like this.
I got a staples near me and not a micro center... So i definitely support them coming into the pc builder market! :)
damn bro, I always went to Staples for my school supplies, getting my notebooks and pens, but now I can look forward to pc upgrades..? Yippy
That case looks so cool
Amazing video ! im going to check out a few stores in my area :)
Booting into bios do really be so satisfying
That was honestly one of the coolest things staples has done.
Great tutorial!
I like that this giveaway gives everyone an equal chance to win but like others who get 100 points if they are subscribed to their patreon or something else. Good luck everyone
Ahh I wish it was this easy buying pc parts here in my country. New PC lookin sick!
Its about time. I really hope they roll this out to all staples stores. I love microcenter but the closest one is 2 hours away. Staples on the other hand is across the street.
