When I got into my 1st relationship l was not aware of the term "narcissist" and unfortunately I fell for one and got married but right after our wedding things changed. He became so controlling, disrespectful and verbally abusive.. I even had suicidal thoughts. I had cut my wrist several times bcz he used to provoke me to an extent I can't even express.. after 2years of destroying my self respect, trying really hard to work on my marriage l decided to live for myself. The more I forgave him, more I fell out of love.. today I feel blessed that I could get out of such toxic marriage bcz not everyone gets a second chance in life.... I kind of feel may be this lesson was required me to grow in life.. my Kanha has been looking after me through my life.. Hare Krishna 🙏🙏

I've been witnessing my parents toxic relationship for my whole life and let me tell you guys somethings I noticed in past 19 years about my extremely narcissistic father
1 You CAN'T tell how he actually is even after spending lot of time with me. He's like the most charming , broad minded and smart even with other family members but with my mom she just takes a full 180 degrees
2 He wants to be the centre of attention but at the same time he'll humiliate her when she comes to talk to her , she's the last person on his mind but he wants to be her prioritiy
3 She has to take permissions to do everything but when she's asking him he'll just go like" why can't you decide something on your own"
4 He criticise each and everything she likes and does from her favourite colour to her way of walking
5 He manipulates her to not to talk to other people and make friends and to sneakily listen their convos
6 He also buys things for her himself rather than letting her go shopping
7 He never calls her by name it's either pet names of curses
8 Twisting and turning her words to manipulate her and guilt trapping
9 Using her feelings and deepest fears to establish control over her
10 Lastly that never ending cycle of Abuse and Apology
If you're in such kind of a relationship please get out of it as soon as possible . Trust me it's not healthy at all
I was in a relationship with a narcissist that might be a sociopath or psychopath as well. The whole relationship I questioned my self worth. He would lift me up just to stomp me down over & over again for 3 years. Everyone told me to get out & run away, but I couldn’t see why, I was in love with all the good we had that I honestly pushed all the bad aside to make him happy. But the truth was he was happy when he made me feel low. He was the happiest when he knew I had given him control it. The moment I stood up for myself was the moment it got physical. He made me out to be the “crazy” woman online & his friends would laugh at me for the things he did to me. I was embarrassed, ashamed & low. The whole thing was so stressful I landed myself in the hospital with a heart problem. Even then I didn’t see it for what it was. He was no where to be found as I would collapse on the floor from poor circulation. Even then “I was making up illnesses for attention not until a friend of mind introduced me to this hacker on INSTAGRAM tech_expert211 who helped me to access my husband's phone & gave me all the necessary informations I need so i can get a divorce,now I'm free from my narc husband

I was with narcissist for 2 years, they are dangerous people, after love boming there was no kissing no hug no sex, but these days she come around to my town with her new supply, I keep ignoring her, oh yeah they are so sweet in the beginning, she change overnight, I was her real face, love boming just for few weeks

It took me 7 yrs to realise this after series of Roller Coaster rides of Idealization, Devaluation, then Discarding bouts of abuses, both mental and physical. It has been 2 years since I learnt I am an Empathetic person which was constantly getting abused.
I am stuck in this relationship for life now as I have a daughter!
But I have learnt to deal with her and the flying monkeys better now. I am on the path out of the Trauma. Hoping to find peace inside me.

I would like to know from you that after being in a relationship with a narcissist even our own thoughts gets like that...for example in a toxic relationship the girl is not allowed to talk to any guy but after breakup if some guy approches talk then I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Please share how to deal with these toxic thoughts as I could feel that a toxic relationship has a very huge impact of wrong thoughts on our brain
It would take some time but you will be back to your true self soon. Stay strong!
True..it happens like that because they control us so much. Even our own thoughts get polluted after staying with them for so long and we realise this again and again.
I would say, only time and awareness can make things better in such cases. It's very easy to get trapped again, therefore it's important to stay NO contact with them (which is the most difficult thing to do because of the addiction created over years). Complete cut-off is the only solution.

I was in a relationship with a narcissist that might be a sociopath or psychopath as well. The whole relationship I questioned my self worth. He would lift me up just to stomp me down over & over again for 3 years. Everyone told me to get out & run away, but I couldn’t see why, I was in love with all the good we had that I honestly pushed all the bad aside to make him happy. But the truth was he was happy when he made me feel low. He was the happiest when he knew I had given him control it. The moment I stood up for myself was the moment it got physical. He made me out to be the “crazy” woman online & his friends would laugh at me for the things he did to me. I was embarrassed, ashamed & low. The whole thing was so stressful I landed myself in the hospital with a heart problem. Even then I didn’t see it for what it was. He was no where to be found as I would collapse on the floor from poor circulation. Just leave that person. Block him from everywhere. The only way is no contact. Once you'll leave him your nervous system would be in peace and gradually you'll lose the emotional attachment as well.

I am going through that cycle everyday. 1st he showers so much of love & care, after that he'll start saying nonsense about me & my parents, resultantly I start shouting bcz no1 can hear ill about their parents, he'll threaten to kill me & my parents, he'll assassinate my character by linking me with other guys, he'll abuse me, and again apologise. He speaks such things which are totally unbearable. Any person would get compelled to shout & the moment I shout it becomes a huge issue bcz my parents & neighbours come to my room asking as to what happened. It becomes so embarassing. He always says that "tere life mein aisa ladka ayega jo tujhe aur tere maa baap ko joota maarega, mere jitna pyaar tujhe koi nai karega". He always tries to justify his abusive nature by saying that u too abuse me. But I abuse when he speaks ill about my parents & threatens to kill them. He says "tere baap ko goli marwa dunga, tere ghar ghuske tujhe aur tere maa baap bhai ko cheer ke taang dunga". How can I stay silent in such a situation ?
