I use joycons and when I tilt the controller I don’t tilt it from the position where it’s parallel to the ground. I hold the controller up to where I’m looking at the switch logo and then tilt 120° to the left. I kind of explained it poorly but that’s the set up I found most consistent

Does the hit box for the moon change as it's rotating? I have done this trick a few times but sometimes it feels like I don't get it when I should.
It's probably just bad timing but I always wondered if the hit box actually matched the moon dimensions. Based on the clip in this video though, it looks like you can collect it when the moon is oriented parallel to your direction in which case I think that's just in my head 😅

It's not necessary to downgrade until you're really really good. I'd say downgrade if you get a 1:05 or 1:06. Downgrading is only if you're contending for top 10 at this point maybe.
