Didn’t Butker “kickoff” (spark) this topic? If so, did I “fumble” and miss the part where you mentioned him? The pink elephant chief in the room? Sola TLM is a wrong Protestant mindset. Seems Butker subscribes to that wrong mindset. If so, his “playbook” is wrong. Otherwise, great show, thanks! On target: daily Mass is way more important than which Mass! It’s not the “what” of the Mass but the “Who” of the Mass! It’s more fair to compare a Miles Christi or an Opus Dei Mass to a TLM Mass. Back in the day when the TLM Mass was the Normative Mass there were many problems with people there too. But they didn’t runaway and go regress to an older Mass and say see this is the Mass of the ages because we have folks dressed properly, and all these other externals. Pope Francis like a good father is forcing two siblings to hold hands and work it out. After your forced to hold hands or hug then it’s hard to be upset at each other (we’ve tried that parental tactic before too, it works) Jimmy Akin is right about almost everyone - EXCEPT that he seems to fail to believe that Joseph was a man in his PRIME and always a manly VIRGIN, not an elderly widower with some alleged first wife and some six kids. Shocking he seems to subscribe to that. Another topic Butker was wrong on was he strongly implied NFP is contraception. Absolutely wrong. Please do another show on this. Take him to task with charity and help him (and us) see that NFP is good while Contraception is sinful / evil. Otherwise, Butker’s talk was great! Thanks bros! PS: a proper normative Holy Mass is objectively “richer” than the non-normative Holy Mass of the TLM because it has much more Scripture! Many more feastdays! Many more Holy Mass options! Many more prayers and blessings! And it is in union with Rome and the Pope! And it’s the holy desire of the Holy Spirit as per the Church’s last Council. Challenge to my Sola TLM brethren: don’t runaway in little boats but stay aboard Mother Ship and help fix problems at the parish with us! We need you! Man up! Can you imagine any MAN moving out of his home and living in a hotel and then from afar criticising his wife and kids for how “bad” they are running the home? Why you let those clowns in and run my home? You’re doing it wrong! Stop that! You shouldn’t do that! Etc. Reminder: (wife sends hubby a “manly” message) “Hey sweetie, it’s your fault. You’re missing in action- MIA!” We need you guys. But don’t hide behind your online identities. Get your hands dirty in the real world and help fix your local parish! Man up!
TLM - reverence, respect and focuses on our Lord. The dress code-Sunday's best. There are booklets to help with the flow of the mass. As a TLM person, there is no side to take, the focus should be on our Lord, period. As for the TLM "group" that won't attend any other mass except TLM, the same can be said for those who attended NO with exactly the same strong feelings about NO mass...the Tra. are not the only ones who feel strongly about their worship style. BTW Mr. Chris Martin is so based.

Yes.
No it was not the mass of 1500 years.
