Thanks, just what I needed. My issue was the wire that supplies power to the door when the car is off. The symptoms were no power to the door lock switch and needing to have the key turned to the ON position in order to open the gas cover or rear tailgate. Broken wire in the sub harness that supplies continuous power. hope that helps others.

For others, this also fixed my rear doors window issue where any switch would make an audible click in the rear relays but the widows wouldnt go. Where his yellow wore was pulled out, I also had a white wire out...thst i suspect was the rear window issue.

Connect a string to the old one near the green connector before removing. use the string to help pull the new cable back through.
You can open the door wider by removing the plastic slider that limits the door range.

Thanks. Next time I will check the plug to make sure it fits as one of my plugs did not fit all the way. I learned after pushing the wires through. However, I left it in as I guess it went in far enough to fix my door locks and windows except for driver side rear window. Guess I can live with that.

Attach a string to the inside harness before you remove so you can use the string to pull in new one.

I have a similar issue with my 2011 MDX, and was just lucky that an Acura dealer about 30 minutes away had just one on the shelf. I tried almost every site and everyone said it's on backorder

I found your very informative you tube video by searching for Acura MDX power window problem. My problem is a little different, I think. My drivers window will go up and sometimes it comes back down half way. This happens occasionally but I'm afraid it won't go up and stay when I really need it to. Any suggestions? Mine is a 2014 MDX. Sorry for the late reply, I just saw your message. Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am not too sure how the mechanisms work on the 2014 generation, but it could potentially be related to the window motor itself being faulty.

Dealer wanted $633 to fix this...yea right...even though this took me 2 1/2 hours from watching this video and another, i got it done. $100-200 repair at best.

I have something similar happening on the passenger side of my vehicle...passenger window wont roll down, the door lock controls on that side wont work and the power mirror wont work. Do you have a video on how to replace the passenger side wiring harness? ( I am assuming thats what the problem is).
Sorry for the late reply, I am not too sure how to replace the passenger side wiring, but it should be similar to the driver side one I showed in the video. That sounds like the wiring is in fact your problem though, I hope you figured it out!
Do you know if this wiring harness will also fix the side mirrors? My windows won't roll down and the side mirrors don't work.
Hi David, I think it could be either this wiring harness or maybe the window/mirror switch by itself may have gone bad. One way you could test this is maybe try to see if all of your other functions on the driver's door are working, such as fuel door, rear hatch button and memory seats. If these are working, then you may just need to get a new window/mirror switch panel, but if they are not then I believe the harness would be your most likely issue!
