    Thank you for this valuable advice! It was exactly what my problem was. As soon as I took off that boot I saw that loose wire! If I can offer a little production advise? Drop all of the dead space where you go fetch tools and gloves as well as the mistake of not removing that plastic pass through gasket. I also will opt to simply cut those cables to make removal easier. Otherwise this was awesome and extremely valuable!! Thanks again sir

      An add on, It took about a month the get that wire harness since so many Honda vehicles around this year are having the exact same issue. After watching this video I had the part installed in about 20 mins tops !!

    Wonder if that "tab" was putting stress on wires causing them to crack in first place.Excellent job and patience.👍

      Yea who knows , my door checkers are gone so the door has to be opened all the way and doing that might have also lead to the wires coming out.Thanks for watching!

    Excellent video! Even if you “messed up” (learning curve), it was tremendous help.
    Would not be feasible to remove that one “bar” holding the door on (nearest you), in order to widen the space to work; or, would that cause additional problems?
    Thanks again!

      @@MLTUBE89so I got the part from eBay and it did not fit exactly but it fit good enough to fix my locks & windows. One step to add would be to check the plug connections before pulling pulling everything out. I have a 2008 MDX. Only the rear driver side window didn’t work after. I can live with that! But thanks fixed most of my issues.

    Thank you for the detailed step by step instruction. When taking the old one out...could you not just snip the ends off and pull it thru? Would be faster than trying to finaggle it out.

    Nice fix!.....But why didn't you try to splice the disconnected wires back in the connector first to save Money buying the new part?

    I may have missed it, but does this harness control all four doors? Or is the other side controlled by the harness on the passenger side. I know a car that has the two doors on the passenger side won’t block.
    Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
    Very good video also.

    Why is the part number on the box different than the part number on the harness itself? The box ends in A00 and the part ends in A01

    Did you get the correct part? The replacement part I got has two green connectors

    • @MLTUBE89
      @MLTUBE89  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did and it's the right part. The colors aren't always same on harnesses as automakers have different vendors making them so they can vary.

  • @mrweisu
    @mrweisu ปีที่แล้ว

    On the door side, a square edge piece needs to be removed, just like on the car side. Now you harness looks funny on the door side.

    • @MLTUBE89

      @mrweisu ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MLTUBE89 did you remove anything from the door side? If you did, it's all good. If you didn't, you need to remove a white piece of plastic. It's a square hollowed out

    • @MLTUBE89
      @MLTUBE89  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Wei Su the White rectangle piece that sits in the rubber boot which clips in to secure it to door. Is that what you mean?
