Congratulations on your video and thank you for sharing knowledge, Eddy. In Brazil, I don’t know for what reason, Plasma-Lyte costs 20 times more than normal saline or RL. We end up using RL instead. If you don’t infuse it in the same venous line as blood it should cause no problem.
Luciano, it's absurd that PL costs that much in Brazil! It's made by Baxter just like the RL and 0.9% NaCl! I am aware that you can just run the LR through a different line but I didn't want to upset the nurses by mentioning that the patient just needs additional IV access.
