Remember 2013 when Sebastian Vettel swept all before him to claim his fourth world championship, during which he went nine races in a row unbeaten? He said something that has stuck with me since: "We need to remember these days, because they won't last forever." Are we seriously so blinded by hatred now that Max Verstappen is doing exactly the same thing that we won't do the same when it ends?
I hope you had this same energy when Hamilton was dominanting. I don't care if its Albon and Williams, Norris with McLaren or even Hulkenberg and Haas, domination in sports sucks. Ik the midfield is tight but when P2 (should be P3 if Perez wasn't so shit) is the maximum it instantly drags the weekend down.
@@stevenjoseph6048 I'm one to appreciate greatness in sport when I see it. Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United, Tom Brady, Australian cricket in the 2000s, Tiger Woods, the list goes on. I never take it for granted, because it might all end tomorrow.
@@stevenjoseph6048 Well that's just you disappointing yourself for no reason, only 1st place hasn't changed much during the season.
No one likes domination other than supporters of that person. Let em cry, who cares lol
Big difference is that 2013 was the end of the current rules and everyone stopped developing the car early who could catch Redbull. This the start of the new rules. Are you going to be quoting this line if Redbull are in exactly the same position next year because the probably will be.
A good friend doesn't dare to laugh at your misery... A great friend does!
3 things we learned from the Hungarian GP:
1- When Adrian Newey says 2 tenths he means 7 tenths.
2- Hamilton fans became easily deluded.
3- He is indeed gonna win every race.
He was 1 second faster per lap than anyone else at some points.
How can you blame Hamilton fans after the man clinched his first pole in more than 500 days? Still doesn't come nowhere near close to the hype Alonso got in the first 5/6 races of the season.
@@soundscape26 Because Alonso was constantly on podium IN THE RACE
@@mikko3 Yes, but he didn't win any race or got any pole and Lewis is now a mere 6 points behind him.
@@soundscape26 Ok? Lewis is in Mercedes that won construction championship 8 times in a row. Alonso is in fucking Aston Martin, how is the difference between hype difficult to understand?
Also George got pole last year and it wasnt a big story. Lewis getting pole was like Jesus coming back, it was insane how crazy the hype went
@@mikko3 The hype is directly proportional to their respective fanbases. Even at that I didn't read many people thinking Lewis could realistically win the race... getting a pole was enough to spark some celebrations.
You need to go all in for Max in order to have a chance at jinxing him
As boring as Max winning is, I've been watching F1 for 35 years and I feel privileged to see it.
I watched F1 since Senna and I've given up watching full race weekends for this season. When Mclaren set the race wins record you had 2 of the best drivers in the world fighting for the championship in the best car. This season couldn't be further from that. Its the most boring season I can remember since 2004
@@kityhawk2000 I agree, but I'm an optimist. Take Max out of it, ignore top spot and this is thrilling season
Matt, as a Ferrari/Leclerc fanboy I totally feel your pain but at the same time I can’t help myself but cracking up with your reactions and Tommy’s laughing at them!!
Your content is solid gold!! 😂
Why had everyone so high expectations? Even if Lewis had won the start. Never ever could he hold Max behind him. That Red Bull is a Rocket. We saw that in Australia.
Hopium 😅
@@MikeD-ej2ho yeah, I guess 😅
Max got the winners medal to prove his win No Trophy needed😂
Not even God can help Ferrari now. Pain
Makes you wonder how on earth Schumacher got that team to win 😂
The race went exactly as I expected. Ham was only .003 seconds ahead going all out.
Seeing Hamilton drop from 1st to 4th on the first corner was glorious. Oscar sliding up to 2nd was the icing on the cake.
I think that trophy is now even more worthed he will always remeber this one
Look out for Max when Lando wins his first race! “I do not forgive, I do not forget, expect me!”
I love watching Max's metamorphosis to become one with the car. Next Elon's Neuralink.
Didn’t feel deflated at all when Hamilton got passed cause I knew max was gonna send it on turn 1. I actually laughed at how quickly Hamilton went from p1 to dropping out of the podium positions.
Matt is turning into the F1 version of Steve Dangle. We are slowly watching him lose his sanity every race weekend.
