Late to this video but what a beautiful example of a clear command structure and communication. Nobody shouting, everybody staying on task and everybody respecting the hierarchy so time isn't wasted getting in each other's way. Speaks volumes about how well the team is organized and managed and about the quality of people they have got working there.
I understand why Max loves his team so much and why he doesn't let anyone talk bad about them. What a legends, by far best mechanics on the grid. But it was funny how Max stayed with them and had to be reminded that the anthem starts in a minut and had to run for it at 3:56

This scenario was more intense than most actual race moments. Would’ve been the perfect segment for DTS to show new fans how every single second counts in F1 in other ways than just racing, and how important the dynamic of engineers and mechanics are to a teams success, not just building a fast car.

I used screwdrivers all my life for my job, i can pretty much say with certainly, any pro that uses a screwdriver alot, can twist a screwdriver that fast, i'm mostly impressed by the coordination, total trust in each other and how well everyone knows what to do, and where to stand, so they dont get in each other way, and most of all, the calm voices on the radio, not one moment of panic.. Thats where they really show how Pro they are... amazing

Wow. As a newcomer to F1 I didn't realize exactly how precise these teams actually are. Masterclass communication between everyone and strong belief in one another. It's really impressive how there was no yelling, it was controlled chaos. Beautiful job, I wish there was a series like Inside Story, no drama - just real BTS stuff.

I already thought the longer video shown the repair job showed their amazing work on repairing Car 33, but with the addition of these radio messages and the sporting regs, this video took it to another level. Legendary work from the RBR mechanics!
This was more thrilling than half the episodes on Drive to Survive 3. What I take from this is that RBR can be hard and impatient and ruthless on their "second drivers" but boy oh boy it's a real team spirit that is running in that garage. Makes me respect them even more!
The mechanics are amazing here, but also it’s just incredible the focus max has to go from a crash to a podium, most drivers in a crash get massive confidence shakes
The pressure every single on e of those guys where under was insane and yet that pulled it off and got the greatest result possible great job by all and great drive Max
This really puts into perspective how formula 1 is so much more than just the driver having to drive fast. There is just so much work being put down that you almost never get to see
That pit crew worked like a Trauma 1 team or a 5 star restaurant kitchen. The coordination and calm constant communication is stunning to get something huge done fast.

The ABSOLUTELY BEST mechanics i ever have seen in 29 years f1. But also a AMAZING performance from Max who finished 2nd. A driver and his team that really never should been split.
7:20 Poor Lee Stevenson at the front looked absolutely whacked, don't blame him or the other engineers for being knackered after that, probably one of the most high pressure situations any engineer will find themselves in on a race weekend. Amazing to watch.
They've done what no other teams ever did in Formula 1 : Regular sub-2s pit stops; Fixing a car's suspension in 15 minutes; These guys are the best crew ever.

Constructive criticism: I think it would make for a slight improvement if the name of person currently speaking was placed next to the subtitles - at the same height so to speak. Because some voices I'm very familiar with, like e.g. GP's, Wheatley's or Horner's, but there are of course a lot more people involved and it is amazing to hear them all. However, you always have too look towards the middle right to be able to see who's talking at the moment. If you wnat to read the subtitles at the same time, which is sometimes necessary due to some technical terms, it is a bit unpractical to look right, then down, then right again and so on. Anyway - this is an absolutley fantastic video! I enjoyed it a lot! Thank you for the great off-season content.

I love seeing team work like this. I work in the camera dept of the film industry on big budget films and when things go sideways, a camera goes down and 60 or 70 people are all waiting and watching you rebuild a camera or trouble shoot, I can relate to the pressure. But this was on another level.
The professionalism of these guys is absolutely amazing.

The ABSOLUTELY BEST mechanics i ever have seen in 29 years f1. But also a AMAZING performance from Max who finished 2nd. A driver and his team that really never should been split.
As a non-redbull fan, this was incredible. Just a big applause to the Red Bull garage, their mechanics has always been amazing!

One little detail I picked up on was Wheatley’s phone alarms going off every minute. An extraordinary level of detail and coordination.
7:20 Poor Lee Stevenson at the front looked absolutely whacked, don't blame him or the other engineers for being knackered after that, probably one of the most high pressure situations any engineer will find themselves in on a race weekend. Amazing to watch.
They've done what no other teams ever did in Formula 1 :
Regular sub-2s pit stops;
Fixing a car's suspension in 15 minutes;
These guys are the best crew ever.
Absolutely amazing how efficient and calm they were throughout the whole process, criticise redbull all you want but their mechanics and the way the team works is unbelievable, no mistakes whatsoever
Constructive criticism: I think it would make for a slight improvement if the name of person currently speaking was placed next to the subtitles - at the same height so to speak. Because some voices I'm very familiar with, like e.g. GP's, Wheatley's or Horner's, but there are of course a lot more people involved and it is amazing to hear them all.
However, you always have too look towards the middle right to be able to see who's talking at the moment. If you wnat to read the subtitles at the same time, which is sometimes necessary due to some technical terms, it is a bit unpractical to look right, then down, then right again and so on.
Anyway - this is an absolutley fantastic video! I enjoyed it a lot! Thank you for the great off-season content.

Agreed - I don't recognize any of the voices and it would've been easier to see who's saying what, especially with all of the communication back and forth between everyone.

Wow. They all, including Max, knew exactly what had to be done and in what order and no one let the pressure cause them to mess up any part of it. Impressive.
20 seconds, that's plenty of time. Jeez, the confidence in the team. I think these guys are incredible. And that little acknowledgement from the Merc mechanics is why this sport is so beautiful beyond the track as well.

I come to this every now and then to be motivated and inspired. Redbull mechanics are just legends. Awesome team coordination.
I love seeing team work like this. I work in the camera dept of the film industry on big budget films and when things go sideways, a camera goes down and 60 or 70 people are all waiting and watching you rebuild a camera or trouble shoot, I can relate to the pressure. But this was on another level.
